Simple to use eye drops that stop the gritty and itchy eyes of springtime hay fever
This is an interesting eye drop specifically made for hay-fever itchy and gritty eyes in the springtime. It contains a small quantity of a unique active ingredient called sodium cromoglicate. I have read that this was discovered by a British chemist working for a UK company some years ago and formed the basis of several allergy products that work differently from all others by safely stabilising the cells that release histamine and cause the irritating allergy symptoms. The drops are easy to use, much like the dry eye drops I use daily. The dropper bottle is well designed to be able to hold it firmly yet gently to allow a single drop to fall easily into the eye. For a child, I would think a parent would be better to apply at home, but with a bit of practice, the bottle could be taken to school to use during the day, too, if needed. The effect is speedy. The drops just do their job and keep the eye protected for several hours. We find it does need frequent dosing, as per the recommendations but lasts long enough to be really useful. At the price here on Amazon, it's very good value for such a useful product at this time of year.

It works it reduces the itch into next to nothing in a short time.
Easy to use and no side effects noticed.Itchy eyes from an immune reaction to germs, dust or pollen contacting the eye surface is reduced or eliminated. In my case I feel a very mild sting when first put in which is most obvious if the eyes have been rubbed red, but then the discomfort and itching subsides within a few minutes and you can forget about it.If you have an eye infection producing matter or 'pink eye' see your doctor.

I would never use anything else for my allergies
Opticrom Sodium Cromoglicate are the only eye drops which seem to work on my allergies. I suffer from chronic rhinitis, reactions to just about all food, and really dry/sore and painful eyes. I first used this product by total accident when I couldn't get hold of brand x, and noticed an immediate decrease in my symptoms. I have now relied upon these drops for a number of years, and don't know what I would do if I could no longer buy them. I always keep a couple of bottles in reserve for times when they go out of stock. I would definitely recommend them to anyone suffering with allergies, whether they be seasonal or not. Sodium Cromoglicate is known to work wonders on allergies owing to its mast cell stabilising properties, hence why it's often prescribed to people with mast cell disorders and MCAS.

Not easy to open
Itโs a standard eye drop for hayfever and nothing beats a few drops of this straight from the fridge in itchy hayfever eyes to prevent you from rubbing them. The only problem itโs a tiny bottle and you need tiny strong fingers to open the bottle initially. I had to get an 8 year old child to open mine.

Great for allergy sufferers
Pros: Good value for money (1 drop in each eye)Easy to useFairly fast resultsCons: Can sting sometimesDoesn't reduce rednessNeeded this for dog allergies and hay-fever. This has always been a wonderful product and a staple in the medicine cupboard. For some it might be difficult to put in the eye and might sting, but bear with it and you'll find relief pretty quickly! Overall the starting price might seem high, but if you work it out, one drop every few hours for the amount is actually pretty good. Especially if your eyes are very irritated. Will mention that it doesn't reduce redness, but that's not what the product says it does. Recommended.

Excellent eye drops for really bad hayfever days
Now many people look forward to June as the start of summer with warm days and relaxing evenings.Alas, if you are a (grass pollen) hayfever sufferer then June signifies the start of your wishing the rain would come, and stick around for the next couple of months!I use these eye drops in conjunction with Allevia tablets - which are a complete game changer I might add (and have reviewed) - for those rare days when it is so bad even the tablets can't do it on their own. These drops are superb bringing swift relief to the frustration of itchy, runny and damn sore eyes! They start working almost immediately and yes, the symptoms do go inside 2 minutes. To any hayfever sufferer I highly recommend these in addition to the Allevia tablets. Thanks for reading and I hope you found it useful/

Opticrom eye drops, the best medically for me
These eye drops are excellent and quick working. The ingredients are right for my eyes. I find it worrying that other different types are taking precedence, even when I specifically look for Opticrom on Amazon, as they are maybe not right for me medically.

Expensive postage
The eye drops are soothing and effective. Postage to Ireland is very expensive.
