This is the 8th published volume in this series. It will be the chronologically 9th volume of the completed series.This is another book containing peak period Barks stories, from around 1950-1951. At this time Barks was assigned to do a lot of 'special' stories of varying length, so it only contains one of his standard ten pagers from Walt Disney's Comics and Stories.This is the first volume to contain a couple of stories drawn, but not written, by Barks. This will be a problem in some later volumes, but in this volume it works, the Grandma Duck story not written by Barks is actually quite enjoyable in a gentle and nostalgic way.The book contains several stories featuring Uncle Scrooge, so those people clamoring for more Scrooge volumes should be relatively happy. It also contains one christmas story.Barks was doing a lot of experimentation with panel borders around this time, and there are also a couple of beautiful full page panels, so it's a visually fun volume.
