Great Children's Stories (Calla Editions)

This was an all time favorite of my girl’s growing up. Wish it was still being printed as a new book. If you can find a good used copy it’s well worth having for the stories.

I have read six stories in this book, just finished reading the Three Little Pigs, I will not read anymore from this book, I do not like the retelling of of these classic stories, the moral of the Little Pigs story has been completely left out (it does not pay to be lazy, hard work is rewarded), the other stories are just creepy or quickly become tedious to read aloud. I do not recommend this collection of children's stories.

The illustrations are wonderful.

I read these stories to my daughters. Now I read to my grand daughters. The illustrations are superb.
