Love it
I love this watch. I've had smart watches before and they die very fast and I never really used all the functions on them, but I wanted something that could tract my steps. So a hybrid watch was my best bet and I love me a fossil watch. The battery lasts 2 weeks and is very accurate on steps. It is very flattering on and I have received many compliments.

A hybrid watch that is just smart enough for my needs
I was looking for a watch that was a watch first, with some smart/fitness features that were important to me, including step counting, exercise tracking, and sleep tracking, plus vibrating alarms. I did not need these features to be excruciatingly accurate - anything in the ballpark was fine for my needs, which focus more on general wellness than strenuous training.Because my asks were pretty basic, I wanted this all in a package that had awesome battery life - and this watch totally delivers on that. After 6 days (at which point I'd usually have to charge my Garmin or Fitbit watches in the past), this watch is at 64% battery. Amazing! I also love the look of it as with the watch face I've chosen, it passes completely as an analog watch. The e-ink nature of the watch is also perfect for my needs, as I don't feel the glare of harsh backlight burning into my retinas every time I look to check the time. I'm also not sure whether the watch hands have some kind of coating on them, but they seem to 'glow' just a tiny bit in the dark, because I'm able to read the time at night without having to use the frontlight. So, having gushed about the watch, you may think it's perfect, but I do want to emphasize that other folks' qualms about the watch are totally valid. The accuracy of some tracking is sub par, the frontlight is uneven, the app is confusing to navigate, and the watch dial response time can be a little laggy. Despite all of this, it is honestly the perfect watch for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit more minimal/bare bones hybrid watch with excellent battery life.

Super neat design, but has its quirks
I've never liked the idea of a smart watch. Most of the watches I've owned in the past 15 years have been mechanical, and the rest just basic quartz. However, the idea of an e-paper dial with physical hands piqued my interest. For the price, I'm super happy with this thing. It looks amazing, was easy to set up, and is pretty customizable. There are several different dial designs to choose from, and you can also choose a custom image. You also get to pick which complications to display, and optionally enable goal circles on them. The battery life is what's really impressive. I haven't charged it for a week now and it's still above 50%.The app has some quirks, at least on Android - it generates a persistent notification unless you disable it from notifying at all in the OS settings. I think this has some implications for the ability of the watch to sync to the phone sometimes. However usually it is okay. In the Fossil app, you'll also want to disable notifications from stuff like Google Maps, unless you want your watch to vibrate every 1/10 of a mile while navigating. I also can not get the Alexa feature to work (it keeps saying I don't have an internet connection, but I can use Alexa fine from its own app). This might have something to do with disabling that notification but I don't care enough to spend more time to find out.The light-up face isn't as even as I'd like - the light emits from four distinct points and it's pretty obvious. There ends up not really being any light on 9 or 3.The display also sometimes fails to update, especially when accessing the menus through the watch. It will register the button press, but you won't see the result until you press another button.Despite these complaints, I still like the watch. This is a really cool piece of tech, and in my opinion, is what smart watches should be.

Screen fades after less than a year
This watch started out amazing. I loved how it tracked my steps and my sleep (although sleep data wasn't real accurate, it was close enough). I was looking for a watch that allowed me to get all my notifications and this watch did although you do have to regularly connect to the app and re enable your notifications a lot (little deal). Now less than a year later, my watch face has started to fade and become really dull. I reached out to support and they said they could open a ticket to fix it but I would have to send it in to a service center for over a month (that means I would be without my watch for that time. So here I am looking for a new watch and out all that money I spent on this one and what I have to spend on a new one.

Poor connectivity, long-term tracking
I loved the watch for the first month or so (bought it Jan '24). Tracking activities (sleep, heart rate, steps taken, etc.) was not as accurate as my fitbit, but I really wanted an ANALOG face that I could see at a glance without tapping it or twisting my wrist to see the digital time. After 6 weeks or so, it stopped keeping track of my steps, workout data, etc. - it would record the day's data, but it would all be erased the next day, couldn't see long-term patterns or goals. Customer service helped, suggesting I unpair, 'wipe' the watch and repair as though using it for the first time. This got the watch back on track, but I'd have to do all of that again every week. Now it's to the point it won't keep any data overnight at all, but it still sends me notifications and tracks 1 day's activity only. It is now just a watch that shows me 1 day's activities, has an attractive analog face, and inconsistently sends me notifications.

Only lasted 2 days
Different custom faces but after second day the face just stopped showing… if I push the center button it will show the apps and then brings back to a clear screen. Battery is good and plenty of apps but the fact the screen doesn’t work after 2 days is unsat. The phone to watch function is not great! The watch told me a phone call was coming in but then when I told it to find the phone it said it was disconnected. If that was so why was I getting notifications? Second day in a row it’s lost connection without me changing my Bluetooth settings.

Me gustó el diseño elegante, pero parece más un reloj normal que un S-Mart Watch.
