TetraMin Fish Food Holiday Feeding Block 30g, Providing Healthy Nutrition for Up to 14 Days

Put the block in last night as we were going away in the morning.. come down this morning not even 24 hours after putting it in and both my fish were dead, there’s a film along the top of the tank and the waters cloudy!

I was really hopeful that this product worked as I had no time to get any other product before I left for my holidays, alas most of my fish died during the 2 weeks I was away.I even ríales it a couple of days before I left and the fish seemed to like it. But in 2 weeks more than half my fish died, and the food pieces that I cut up was rotten at the bottom of the tank covered in fungus. I can tell that my algae eaters liked it both all my tetras are dead. I have a small tank 20l. Might be suitable for bigger tanks for all I know, but not for this size.

I always use this food when we are away, has always been excellent & has never clouded or made the water slimy (I know some people have said this has happened to them but the food is jelly so shouldn't be a problem). Been using it for years & all my fish are fine by the time we get back, no casualties. Usually I cut it up into 4 pieces & drop the pieces around the tank & lasts for a week to 10 days (obviously will depend on how many fish you have) .

Killed half my fish!!! Block went all funny and fuzzy and water was cloudy. 4 big healthy Clown Loaches are dead and I’m currently trying to save the rest of my fish by doing a mega clean out/filter on the water. Some other reviews are positive but a lot of others say they lost fish too so don’t know if they have a problem with quality control but I wouldn’t risk it.

We bought one of these holiday feeding blocks when we went away last year. We have a single fish is a 20 litre tank. The night before we left I plopped the block in. When I woke up in the morning the water in the tank was so cloudy you couldn't see the fish in there.I changed the water and replaced half a block in the tank and hoped for the best.The fish survived and was seemingly unharmed. Not sure how much of the block was eaten but the water didn't go cloudy after the initial time.

Used this product before with no problems however this time I was going away for the weekend so put in the tank 1 day before, the following morning the tank was all cloudy and I lost 4 fish.So glad I used before my vacation as I would have lost a lot more.

Put in a 30L tropical tank with 5 guppies and 3 mollies and left them for two weeks. One molly died but it was old and unwell anyway. Didn’t cloud the water, didn’t change water parameters and all other fish fine so would use again.
