Easy to use, I've been using different nail grinder for years on different dogs, this one is relatively quiet and powerful even on low speed. It's nice having the light. I currently have a small dog and have not used the high speed on her, but my sister has the same grinder and I did use hers on the high speed on her medium sized dog- worked like a dream- super easy to use.Not sure if it's me since I have problems with my hands and fingers, but I cannot remove the guard over the grinder head (on my grinder) in order to clean it properly. I was able to remove it from my sister's- hers is several years old.I recommend this product, as long as you allow your dog to get used to it first- slowly! Most dogs won't like it immediately, it takes time and patience for them to be ok with it.

Very pleased with it. I'm a dog groomer and this is very quiet and effective. My nervous dogs that objected their nails being filed before are now more accepting of the process. Holds charge pretty damn well. The best nail grinder I've used to date

I remove the sheild as it really only accommodates small and medium sized dogs. Rechargeable, and a really helpful feature is the mini spot light.

Never in my two years of owning my dog have, I enjoyed grinding his nails as much as I have today.I have a Malinois that loathes sitting still and detests getting his nails done. I have to pin him down with some jujitsu moves and then clip them fast before I can grind them. To make matters even worse, after a bad grooming shop experience, I’ve had to start muzzling him to do the clipping. He doesn’t mind the grinding, so I try to just do that once a week instead of clipping. However, the grinder I have is for acrylics and takes forever. The sanding bands also wear down really fast. I felt like I was going through a band week. Ugh.For both our sakes, I decided to get a new grinder. HOLY HELLO SHORT NAILS BATMAN! This diamond head is like WHOA! I highly doubt I’ll be going through these weekly. This thing just crushed my dog's big ash nails like they were graham crackers. Seriously. There was nail powder flying everywhere. It was disgustingly glorious. You’ll probably want to pull out a mask because it was that growsome.They went from long to short before my dog knew what was even happening. Not that he cares much about grinding. The noise level is almost nonexistent for a grinder though, so even if he did care this probably wouldn’t have bothered him.The LED lights are great and let you see right down there. You can turn it on and off separately as well. So that’s a plus. Although, I feel they’d be better/more effective if they were in the little holes where the safety cap locks in. That way they’d be pointing directly at the nail and not from the side angle. Even at this angle though, the light makes grinding easier. The first time I bought this, for some reason, I saw the lights as pointless and, as I was maneuvering my dog's paw, I realised that was a mistake. So if you’re debating on that, get the LED grinder. Oh, and the blue is GORGEOUS! If blues are your thing. If not, then you’d probably find it hideous. I happen to love this deep shade of blue. The grinder is easy to hold, however, it feels slippery to me. I wish they had grippers, or maybe a skin you could put on it. I made my own adjustments and added the ever-so-classy duct tape. What can I say? It’s the universal tool.Really, though, I got to tell you, this thing is freaking amazing. You want your dog's nails done and done quickly? Like easy peezy lemon squeezy? Out of the box. I took the cover off, then the top. Turned it on the lower setting, did a few nails with the light and a few without. Takes me about 5 minutes using the one without a light. This time took me about three, but my dogs nails are already nice and short.The only thing I’d worry about is if an idiot gets their hands on this. They could seriously mess up their dog's nails. If you read some of the other reviews you’ll see it’s already happened. People tend to assume grinding is safer. It’s just as dangerous, if not more because you’re holding a high-speed, rotating electronic device by your dog. So... don’t be an idiot, and be careful. If you don’t know what you’re doing, ask someone that does to show you. Better safe than sorry.

I compared several brands and options, and this one did not disappoint on its first go around! My dogs nails are clear and I can see the quicks but I'm working on trying to get her quick to receed. I read that grinding is the best option for this, so I purchased this tool. it made it easy to see the quicks and I was able to quickly get each nail filed down in seconds using the lowest of the two settings.Tip: it's extra helpful if you can have someone feed your dog something special while you do your thing! this made it 10xs easier for my curious pup, who is 10 months old. This was her first experience with a grinder and she did great! Not to loud and works well!

Very happy with this purchase.Needed a way to trim my dogs nails with the fuss. My dog is a large golden retriever and I can do all of his nails in one sitting. The light is helpful and it’s quiet enough that my dog isn’t bothered by it at all.
