Love this! I’m using mine for a sand battery heater
I love how hot it gets. I’m probably not using it correctly, but I’m using it for a solar powered sand battery heater. I’ll let you know how long it lasts for the silly project, especially if that’s sitting in sand and with it constantly on for heat.

Makes sufficient heat to thaw a stubborn antenna rotor at 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Reliable.

effective
Puts out a great deal of heat, and does it quickly.

Slimline form factor for small DIY Incubator
These are nice heating elements for small DIY incubator builds for the primary (maintainer) heat, with a higher wattage unit as the secondary heat source (for initial heating or for a larger drop in temp as when opening the incubator door). For my build using a small dorm fridge I drilled vent holes in 2 aluminum 1.5" U channel rails mounted in parallel and fastened these directly to the aluminum. My circulation fan blows air into the open end of the aluminum channels and is directed through the side ends and the holes I've drilled. The two heaters also heat the aluminum (1/4" thick) like a heat sink and broadens the surface area for a more uniform distribution while also decreasing the time the heaters are intermittantly powered to maintain the 37.5°C target temp saving energy. What I'm concerned about is the direction caution from using in dust or moisture, so I am considering sealing the open ends more-better with a marine grade epoxy or something like PC-7 which stands up to heat. I have a secondary heating element attached to the intake of the circulation fan inside an insulated chamber where the compressor was removed that turns on only when needed and preheating the air before it is blown into the incubation chamber. I like the low profile "clean" look compared to other options that use multiple exposed metal fins (like a radiator) as the incubator needs to be cleaned and occasionally sterilized due to egg shells, dander, and hard water calcification from the humidity (fogger/mist maker pod). Time will tell if they hold up, but since space is limited (to max # of eggs and hatching tray), having low profile heating elements compared to a light bulb, ceramic heat bulb, etc and the ability to distribute the heat across the aluminum fan diffuser rails makes these a great choice.

They WILL last if...
I have beaten dented these poor plate to death, and put thousands of pounds of pressure on them and they still heat properly, so if you need heater plates for proper use, long term, these are the ones you want
