Edit: company reached out and sent us a new one, this one has an on/off switch instead of just a sensor and seems to be working much better so far.Still works great after another month.Loved the little whale at first but after about a a month of use it started to malfunction and turning on at random times out of water. Let the battery run out and then anytime it is plugged in it turns on and won’t turn off. So it isn’t useable anymore.

I got this item for my nieces to play with during a recent visit. I swear I'm not jealous about how much cooler kids' toys are now than when I was little 🙄 Anyway, the toy arrived quickly and looks just fine when not in use- just a little whale with a happy face. It arrived charged already, and included in the box is a charging cable and a little screwdriver to allow you to access the charging port (which is VERY well sealed against water intrusion). The motor that powers the water spout was a bit loud when I tested it, but that was when it was out of water. When it was used properly, the sound was still audible but not overwhelming. Also, it tends to drift around, either as a result of the spout motor or the kids (hard to say, but fun either way). The color-changing lights were fun and worked great! The girls loved the toy, spraying each other and themselves in the face with the spout and showing it off to each other and me

My children are drawn to this. Works well and doesn't seem to cause issues if they pick it up or drop it. Pretty durable. It does suck up lint and hair after time. I've been able to remove any visible pieces and the whale continues to squirt water. Neat little toy

I received this product and it worked great even after the first charge. Hadn’t used it in the bath for a month and a half then when I put it in the bath it did not work. We tried to charge it thinking that was the issue, which it was not. Had it sitting on the counter and started making noises. Ultimately it stopped working after 5 months.***Update***I was contacted by the seller who voluntarily sent me a replacement which I wasn’t expecting. However it is greatly appreciated as my kiddo LOVES this in his bath. I hope it lasts MUCH longer than the first.

My daughter fell in love with this toy and looked forward to bathtime every night, but it started malfunctioning and is just unusable now after only a few months.Charging was a little annoying because you had to use the special screwdriver it came with to access the USB-C port for re-charging.

My daughter (almost two) loves baths, her baths would be a couple hours long if I'd let her, so we get her all kinds of bath toys. She loves this little whale, one of her favorites with it's spouting of water and it's ability to cycle through colors. She likes to spin it so the water that is shooting up goes in a circular motion. We have had it since Christmas and so far no issues. It does take 6 hours to charge it to its fullest but will last my little one about 3 baths before we need to recharge it. One of the times we used it after charging it it seemed to be losing power of spraying water, I thought the battery was already going out but the color changing was normal, so I turned it over and where it sucks up water to spray there was a little mess of hair covering the holes, I picked it off and put it back into the water and it went right back to its normal spraying pressure. So you kind of get a mini filter for the bath as well. Would definitely recommend buying for little ones, especially if they love bath time; and if not maybe it can help make them enjoy bath time a little more(:

This Cute little addition to our bath was definitely a hit with my 6 year old and my one and a half year old alike. The changing of colors, constant water and adorable design are perfect. The motor itself is not loud and when pulled out of the water it immediately stops the water flow. I even trick out our bath time sometimes with bubbles, darkness and lots of glow things. Its awesome. Would definitely recommend.

Sometimes it glitches out though and the motor won’t turn off like it’s supposed to when you take it out of the water but it doesn’t happen very often.
