Introducing Brawler64 BT NSO Edition Next-Gen Wireless NSO N64 & Nintendo Switch Controller We are pleased to announce our latest iteration of the Brawler64 Wireless N64 controller, the Brawler64 N64 Bluetooth Wireless for Nintendo Switch Online and Switch! Fit your style Available in three gorgeous colors Whether you're a Classic Gray kind of person, you like the bold look of the Transparent Blue or you prefer the bleeding edge look of the Arctic White, be sure that you'll be gaming in style and comfort. Review: A must have for playing Nintendo 64 games! - This controller is better than the official N64 Online controller that's always out of stock! By defualt, it's in pro controller mode, but press and hold the "swap" button and it'll work like the N64 online controller & is even recognized as such, unlocking the easter egg on the N64 Online menu! The C-Buttons are perfect for fast action games where you need to be %100 sure you have pressed the right button, especially for games like Starfox 64! The left stick is octagonal instead of a perfect circle which means the stick has the same range as the original N64 controller! This controller has dual-rumble motors, actual motors which is rare in controllers today. You really feel the rumble! This controller has all the perks of a N64 controller without the awkward 3-arm design. One major hangup with playing Nintendo 64 games with a traditional dual-stick controller is it causes you to input wrong C-Button inputs. This controller completely solves this issue! The controller also works with PCs which is perfect for N64 emulation! I haven't tried with Android, but if it uses standard Bluetooth I assume it would work I'd highly reccomend this controller for anyone who wants to play N64 games either on N64 or PC! Review: $60 may seem like a lot, and it is, but this is really great! - I had the brawler 64 they made a few years ago for the original N64 hardware and so when I found that it's virtually impossible to buy the official N64 controller for Switch, I thought I'd try this. There was some initial disappointment: The ZR trigger here is recognised as the ZR button on the official N64 controller when in the N64 online games, meaning that it works more like the "-" button, in that it brings up the menu to save or switch games, rather than working as a Z or R button as you might expect. The amazing thing is, I shot off an email to their customer service asking if there was any way to change this, and they've actually created a macro that lets you switch ZR for ZL (effectively giving you two Z triggers), so you can easily update the controller by connecting it to your computer. Not that there's much wrong with it in its default state; I've actually got used to using ZR to save spam so I can re-do levels or moments quickly and easily (especially useful for avoiding Natalya running into gunfire in Goldeneye). They clearly listen to other custumers at Retro Fighters too; another custom macro lets you switch off the LED, so that must have bothered someone too. As for the controller itself; personally, I never had a problem with the "weird" N64 controller shape and part of me still wants the official one, but this is clearly a better controller. People will appreciate its modern shape and good analogue stick. It's ojectively better than the original, but my twenty year old muscle memory means it still feels a little "off" if used to the original controller. What's significantly better here is that this N64 controller can be set to "pro controller" mode, and while you will be missing a second analogue stick, the "pro controller" mode on the controller can be re-mapped using the switch menu, so you can choose which buttons do what based on your preference. By default you've got ABXY set up to AB and two of the c-buttons (in the "wrong" places) and the leftover C-buttons act as analogue stick "clicks". I played some Sonic Frontiers and found that using the "click right stick" to reset the camera pretty much compensated for no second stick. So yes, it's $60, but you would never get this level of funcionality, nor support, from Nintendo. Oh and it has built in rumble that feels great. Overall, very much a winner! Also works great in the recently released GBA section of Switch online.

Just what I was looking for!
Recently I started playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) and it became one of my top favorite games. Because I got into doing randomizer runs I found myself wishing I had a controller that had C buttons as using an analog stick caused many input errors. The original N64 trident design never made sense to me, so I wanted a modern style design. What I love about this controller is that it has that and it still manages to maintain the nostalgic color palette of the time. Holding this controller feels good as it is comfortable and all the buttons I need are within reach. The analog stick thumb is not concave like many modern controllers, it's convex so it reminds me of old school controllers. The controller paired easily to my Windows 11 PC (via USB), it shows up as an Xbox 360 controller. It also paired easily with my Nintendo Switch. I wish that it could switch Bluetooth modes so that I could connect it to my PC wirelessly as well, but I knew this was not a feature upon purchase so it's not a big deal. I am also satisfied with the controller's rumble, it works well. Overall, I am very happy with this controller and I would say it's worth the money if you play a lot of N64 games.

Second Controller Also Did Not Hold A Charge
I have been shipped two now that wont charge out of the box. Only will work when plugged in and will not hold a charge wireless. Based on other reviews this seems to be a common issue.

What the N64 controller should've been!
If you're like me and haven't been able to get into the N64 library on Switch due to the atrocious controls and the habit of using dual sticks for movement, look no further than this controller. I couldn't play N64 stuff because the right stick was mapped to the C buttons. So if I tried to adjust the camera I'd end up throwing deku seeds or taking my deku mask off. It was aggravating AF. This controller eliminates all that since it's dialed down to the original N64 buttons, but with a modern controller grip. And honestly this is what the N64 controller should've been. It's crazy comfortable, perfectly responsive, and the quality of the materials are shockingly good. This controller has a good weight to it and the buttons aren't all clicky and loud, which was one thing I was concerned about. I can't stress how good the quality is. Long story short, if you're going through Amazon looking for a controller specifically for older gen games for switch, I can't recommend this enough. It's so useful it's even perfect for the Gameboy games Nintendo just released. I wish I could find something to complain about so I don't seem like I'm working for this company, but I seriously can't find a single flaw so far. This was exactly what I've been looking for and I'm very excited to get nostalgic with classic games I grew up with!

great on switch but needs work on pc
Day 1 on it has worked well for what ive asked of it on the switch. I was going to do some retro gaming on my pc with it and was both pleasantly surprised and disappointed as well. It paired with my pc easily and mostly worked out of the box, but it identified as a xbox one controller which has made mapping buttons more challenging. I'll have to continue testing and see if i can download a windows 11 driver or firmware patch to properly identify it and make mapping the buttons easier. More to come in the coming weeks.

Definitely worth it
We bought this in order to play N64 games on the Switch without the inconsistent results while using the right stick to use the C buttons. The modern design feels great and worked better than expected. It doesn't feel cheap like the 3rd party controllers I grew up with, in fact it feels and responds similarly to the Pro Controller. Absolutely recommend this in the likely event you can't get your hands on the official Switch controller.

Love it!
I was able to connect this to my Nintendo Lite. Took a little bit but it recognized it as a 64 remote so it helped with playing the old games like Zelda and 007. Rumbles pretty strong too.

Color mal
