the art style is fantastic reminds me a lot of samurai jack in a lot of ways. great story fun characters and a really cool world

Buy this book! It has some of the best art I have ever had the pleasure to witness, along with a very satisfying story including some lovely eclectic elements. Desperately anticipating volume 2!

Great comic! SO funny, so bloody, so much head lopping! Style is 'cartoony a little reminiscent of 'French' school imho (i.e. Uderzo/Goscinny) with a hint of Mignola. Loved it. Absolutely loved it.

An incredible book, slick writings and a unique sequential art style that has me chomping at the bit for the next arc!!!

It's amazing.

It is like a well paced movie where they quickly cut to the chase rather than dawdle. Great action and a fine witchy story with some nice interesting touches which add depth and humour. I really enjoyed art and was reminded a little of cartoons like Samurai Jack, although don't let that put you off.

It is ok, but I expected more. The story is not good enough for me. It needs more content.

Head Lopper is the best graphic novel I have read in a long time. It is very satisfying and it's hard to find a book like this. At this time, there are three volumes, this is my favorite, although all three are great and highly recommended.Characters and dialogue are well written, action is choreographed amazingly well in Andrew MacLean's stylized style that borrows a bit from Mignola, but is also uniquely his own. The colours are vibrant and fantastic as well.Speaking of the plot, which is rather simple but effective, the cool thing I especially liked was how the story would jump a bit to reveal the antagonist's back story so that you understand how they came to be. Nothing is black and white, although it doesn't matter if you come up against the wrong side of Norgal the Head Lopper.Buy this book it's up there as one of my favorites and I hope it becomes one of yours!

Andrew Maclean is killing it!! I’ve being a huge fan of his work since apocalypticgirl, and it never ceases to amaze me how genuinely fun and exciting his books are. In this non-stopping, breathtaking adventure, we follow a barbarian with a conveniently skill of taking off his enemies’ head(it’s not a coverbait), the artwork is beautiful, landscape is fantastically well-crafted, if you wonder about a new ongoing series to dive into, rest in sure that head lopper is a must-read.
