AbbeyhornLarge Usable Viking Drinking Horn on Stand - Rough Finish

This is one of those things that you see and think is so cool, and just have to have...well...I did. It arrived in good time, and came complete with care instructions. The horn itself holds a good amount of liquid, slightly more than that which would be in a regular can of soft drink. The only issue I found was the odour, it is very strong and pungent, however other reviews and the care instructions assure that this disappears over time. I've had this a while now, and whilst it has subsided considerably, it is still evident. No doubt regular washing with mild detergent would indeed have taken care of this, but I use it purely for display. I've not been brave enough to drink from it yet as the odour does put me off, but am assured by various sources it would be safe to do so. Even so, it is still a great display piece, and a nice talking point for visitors...

Arrived before deliver date given :) does come bubble wrapped, unwrapped one of the first things I found was the out side was flaky for lack or better words, gave it a wash as the instructions said, decided to fill the beauty with drink... The reason I won't give it five stars is due to small holes or cracks that cause drink to leak out, not going to return because the holes aren't too big, if I were going to buy again I would look elsewhere first by over all it seems good so far.

Great item and looks fantastic on my shelf and the stand works brilliantly even with drink in it. Bought as a present for the other half who loved it. Unfortunately the only down side is he was unable to drink from it for too long as the smell was far too off putting. Have tried several ways to get rid of the smell but it still lingers. In hindsight I may have gone for one of the polished ones to make it more practical and not just ornamental.

The product arrived with few days of delay. I bought it for the birthday of my boyfriend who enjoyed it a lot. The item has been treated and it needs care especially when you want to wash it. I really recommended it!!!

Mine had a revolting smell inside. It took me two weeks of daily washing to get the smell out. I used vodka in the end. Looks great but the stand does not quite fit that well. I have to hang it off the edge of the table to stand up safely.But overall I’m happy.

I bought two of these horns. One a few months ago and one recently. The first one was perfect, although the second one has a small hole on the side of the horn. About the size of a pin. This was frustrating at first, although after a 30 second Google I managed to use clear nail gel to seal it up fine.+Great appearance+Functional stand-On the expensive side-Hit or miss with functionality. Although easy fix.

Really cool product, beats many competitors for the simple fact that it comes with a stand. It does however arrive with an outstandingly awful smell. We used a bit of bicarb and a couple of washes with washing up liquid and lukewarm water and problem solved.

Really like the look and feel of the horn but it holds less than expected, just over 1/2 a pint and I had to wash it several times first before use. However always goes down a treat when it comes out and lads at work love it.
