I got this for my grandsons, ages 2.5 and 4. The little one is potty training and we need something secure to hold the pee until we get home. As both are boys, this means we don't have to keep so many plastic bags and line them with the stash of too-small diapers in the portable potty (this is a genius solution to splashing and sloshing). This looks like a very sturdy, suitable container that is leakproof and will work quite nicely.The catch is, the boys want to play with it. It the several parts go together like a puzzle and it rather resembles a wobbly character wearing a top hat. The silicone plug to contain the liquids seems to entertain them endlessly. I need to find a way to make it appear suitable for its primary use instead. I'm hoping that with the warmer weather, we'll finally find the need-to-go outweighing the fun factor and we can use it for its intended purpose. I'm sure we'll get there. Meanwhile, I've tested to make sure that it holds water and is easy to clean (though I'm not certain I'm excited about all those parts). I'll update this review when we can successfully use it a number of times to describe how it works for its intended purpose.

I got this for my son, who is 3.5 and struggles with potty training when we leave the house. He used to have a portable urinal like this (shaped like an elephant), but we lost it.This one is pretty basic and functional, but there’s 4 different parts of it that go together (not including the flip-down lid). There’s a rubber stopper that probably stops it from leaking, a top piece with a “tube” for boys to pee into, a circular funnel-shaped insert, and the cup. The lid flips open and has a little latch to close it. I don’t see the need for the circular funnel insert AND the part boys pee into… but maybe it’s for girls, too?? I couldn’t find any instructions.The price point is fair and it’s a decent size for most ages. Right now he’s too scared to insert his you-know-what in the tiny tube part, so we’re practicing in the bathtub. This one is shorter and wider than the elephant urinal we had before; it still fits in my backpack or purse, but it’s a bit clunky. It has a carrying strap… but I‘m not carrying it around like that! 😅I think this is perfect if your kiddo is already potty trained and comfortable peeing anywhere. I’m pretty sure at some point he’ll be able to use this while sitting in the car. Great for road trips, camping, outdoor events, ball games, etc.Hope this helps! 💙

I keep this in the car for emergencies and it has come in handy on longer trips. There can be a bit of splash back or dripping but I think that's more so my kid than the product itself. The capacity was large enough for the few times we've had to use it and with the contents I made sure everything was tightened so it wouldn't leak. I wasn't about to test time on its side so I kept it upright in the car. It didn't leak when I laid it on it's side for a few minutes and turned it upside down with water when testing after I first got it though. Great product to have for road trips!

This is convenient for on the go with a little boy (not sure how well it would work for a girl). There's a perfect little spout or open bigger for a funnel entrance. Seems to seal securely. And seems better than our old way of using an empty water bottle, more sanitary.

This was not made well and it looked dirty? I also thought about it and I think I’d rather my toddler just pee on the ground somewhere before using this and then having to keep it in the car. It looks like it would spill out easily. Lol. Wouldn’t recommend.

It is basically a water bottle with a funnel attached. I guess it will do the job!
