Whats the best tripod to use with this (the one they recommend is a tabletop one) want to use one standing up

Hi there, this is a great spotting scope. I use it with just a mid-range camera tripod - costing c. £25 to £30 if I remember.Reasonably robust with three extending leg sections and a tilt/pan function. Perfect for the job.

Can you attach a camera?

Hi, You would require a Camera adapter like Celestron NexYZ Phone Scope Adapter or Celestron 93626 Photo Adapter for Compact Digital Camera. You can not fit a T-ring to this model.

Has anybody tried this with a different lens to the one supplied please?

Yes. I tried 3 of my Meade astro eyepieces (1.25" fit). The 10mm and 18mm worked perfectly with excellent definition - mags approx 20x and 11x. The 25mm - mag around 8x - produced superb images but there was slight vignetting at the edge of the field of view.

Is this scope good for indoor use. Example in a conservatory for watching outside activity in a bird box or bird feeder.

I would day so... I use it to look at boats etc through a window and it can focus on things pretty close up too. I think that this is a wonderful bit of kit: not too bulky, lovely clear optics etc, etc. I have it ready indoors and carry it out on most walks.
