The media could not be loaded. Gave the front entry a small makeover today, new light and new doorbell (and fixed the intercom someone installed upside down). The existing doorbell worked but was ugly as grandpas’ toenails and likely just as old and didn’t light up anymore.Installation was easy. However, the wiring bolts are not captive and are quite short and will fall out if you unscrew too much so be prepared for that.The exterior screws are also finicky, as you can see I mangled them a bit. Wish they weren’t flathead (the wiring bolts are Philips). I know many like the aesthetic of flathead screws but this isn’t 1932 anymore and getting them to stay nice on an install is tough especially if you are having to make new screw holes like I did because the old ones didn’t line up.Otherwise, a solid doorbell. Metal and not plastic, gives off a good glow and most importantly still makes things go “ding dong” when the button is pressed.

The button feels sturdy, it doesn't get stuck. Pretty easy to install too, I did it under 5 minutes just taking off the old one and installing this one.The best feature for me is the light, I had some issues with my door bell chimes and having the ligh always on display is an excellent visual aid to see if something is not working from the button itself or you have to dig deeper. In my case the button was perfect but it made me realize my chimes were broken, and all because of the light! Just by deducting of it has a light on display then there is nothing wrong with it or the wiring.Will definitely buy again as an affordable and easy repair anyone can do.

I am moving and taking my Ring Doorbell with me, so I needed something to replace it with for the home buyer. This little guy is a great deal, looks solid and on trend. I will say that the box it comes in is tiny and had no instructions - so if you do not already know how to install you may be out of luck..Instructions: unscrew the back screen a small amount, slide each wire *usually one blue one white* under one screw, then screw back in. Once wires are connected you use the two screws to attach to the wall.The white portion does light up once pressed which is a nice feature. I would buy again, it is pretty small but gets the job done and looks good.
