Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor .033uf for Strat Tele Gibson Etc.

Everybody says 47s for humbuckers and 22s for single coils, so what to use for an HSS? Used this 0.033uf cap with 500k log pots, and added a push-pull to the vol to bring in humbucker coil splitting options... And it works great! Plenty of tone control range to be had here - even with the humbucker so no regrets with this Goldilocks cap - it's just right!

It's an orange drop capacitor, probably not worth the money, but we all want them.

Works in most circuits, not just for guitars, calling it for guitars puts a surcharge on the price. The value spec is fairly accurate but they are not as good in guitar circuits as the earlier wax caps that seem to give a warmer roll off.

It worked.

I replaced a .047uf capacitor with the .033uf and was very pleased with tonal sound. A good choice I believe between the 0.22uf and the .047uf. The sound was not so harsh with the .033uf when using the bridge pickup.
