Not watertight Mailbox
Basically we love the design (outside) features looks good, saves the mail getting stolen as we dont have a door letterbox...hence the need for this Metal one...ok now the downside is WATER GETS IN...What have we done to alleviate the problem.1. Drilled 12 holes in bottom as the few that were there when delivered did not take any water away.2. Put a wire bottom in the base of the box so if any water does not drain away then letters are dry.3. The wire is only 3mm thick but enough to lift post away from the water.So I would think that if you place the mail box away from any ingress of water, then you will be fine, the lock is adequate, and even small hands are unable to lift mail out...Shame this slight irritation has come to light, but unless the product is 100% water tight then it can only have 3 stars...5 stars if dry all the time...Manufacturers please take note...overcome this problem and you will sell thousands more...thanks Amazon for speedy deliver..

Comments on my new postbox.
the post is getting wet as the bottom of the box keeps water in when it rains, therefore I have asked a friend if he will drill 2 or 3 holes in the bottom as we can't think of any other way to let the water out.However I have had quite a few people admiring it.I went away for a few days and when I returned all the post had to be dried out.B Guest Mrs

An Attractive Letterbox.
I bought this for my mum to fix on her cottage and she is very pleased with it. I was a bit disappointed as the metal is quite thin and I thought it would be made from cast aluminium which would not go rusty but it seems to be made of some other metal. However it looks good and it was the cheapest one of this design.

Safe post
Loved the post box and it's cut out the draught from my letter box in the door and post being left half way in and halfway out. Should have bought one a long time ago.

Excellent purchase
Waited to thoroughly test before giving review. Had this item for near on 24months now and its seen plenty of rain wind and even snow. Through all this weather my mail has stayed dry. There is plenty of room for all size mail/magazines even if your away for a couple of weeks. Very easy to put up and stays sturdy.only negative comment is that the white paint has run and smudged on black, easy to clean and hasn't spoilt look of box.very pleased with this product and would recommend.

Looks ok and works
Does the job, seems secure and keeps letters dry. With hindsight I would probably have lost the rose, but it looks ok and works

Potential to last a long time.
Delivery was next day, three ahead of time.First class product, very sturdy and easy to put in place. No apparent areas that will rust.
