Easy to read, a big book and therefore quite heavy

The atlas arrived on time and is excellent value for money. The place names and road numbers are very easy to read and I am really pleased with it.

Like the detail, the layflat binding, the quality of the printing.It has a range of features such as route planning, city centre maps that are proving useful.Good supplement for checking out potential diversions proposed by satnav.Rather wider and taller than expected. My idiot fault. A3 in the title should have alerted me.Really needs to have harder front and back covers so it sits easily on the navigator's knees and to keep it taut and uncreased when pushed down the side of the car seat for storage.Useful for journey planning on the kitchen table. Bit too floppy for on the knee in front of the fire. (Note to self: Use a tray. I like to use a ruler to estimate mileages and a firm surface really help.Costs more than the cheap small scale map books often found for sale in supermarkets eg 3 or 4 miles to the inch and the Philip's is worth every penny.

Good map to have in car just incase.

Yes, it's A3. Yes, it's a bit unwieldy. However, if you want a detailed UK road atlas you'll struggle to find anything better or more up to date. Town centre street guides are an added bonus.

Google maps is great but fed up with only being able to see small areas at a time. This map allows you to see a large area on a good large scale.I like tearing out the pages and using them on a map holder on my bicycle when on long cycle rides - it's good to see way ahead rather than using a sat nav and either having a tiny scale or only see a mile at a time in a large zoom.

This is so easy to read in a moving vehicle. The symbols are clear and the Road numbers easy to read without straining. I’d definitely recommend you buy this atlas.
