Gen 2 Cooper Smart Lock for Front Door, Tuscan Bronze - Deadbolt Door Lock with WiFi Keyless Entry, Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google

This smart lock was a perfect option for our side door into our garage. This door gets direct sunlight and really takes a beating, especially during the summer months, so we needed something durable and I believe that this lock will meet the challenge! The cover that slides down to protect the keys is perfect for this since without it the keys would likely be destroyed in no time. This is the 3rd smart lock I have installed in our home and the installation on this lock was much easier than the other two. The biggest issue I had was being confused about what the little silver sticker was for and then once I had it installed I figured it out (it is to cover the screw hole on the inside part of the lock (as seen in picture 3). The app to set up the lock is not very user-friendly, however, a quick search can help you find directions on how to add codes, set rules, etc. I like that it keeps a log on when each code is used and you can have it notify you as well. I also really like that the battery is rechargeable. The only thing I wish was different is I would have liked to be able to rekey the lock to match our other keys, but that isn't a deal breaker. If you are looking for a smart lock that is easy to install, feels, and looks very well made that will likely last a long time and keep you, your family, are your home secure you have found it!

We've had two keyless entry door locks things and both were problematic -ate batteries, finicky finger print pad reader, etc. I got this one because of the solar charging and the physical number pad tucked away for a clean look. I am not sorry at all. I really like this one soooo much better. I've never had to charge the battery. It never seems to go below about 80%. The single actual button to push to lock when leaving is quick and easy. Putting in the code to unlock is a breeze and a million times easier to get guests who are not tech-savvy to use. I love that it will lock on it's own if I forget to and that it will unlock upon my return.Now here's where it's not absolutely perfect - that last sentence - ya it's not that reliable. The locking on it's own is pretty consistent but I have looked at the app and seen it unlocked a few times after we've been gone for a while (like maybe to minutes down the road). The unlock because I'm "returning home" is extremely inconsistent and I almost always end up just putting the code in at the door. Also, I have locked the door at night when heading to bed and then heard what I thought was the sound of it unlocking only to check my phone and it somehow thought I was "returning home" after I locked it from the inside and therefore unlocked. An easy click on the app to relock it but definitely a flaw if I were to not hear it and ended up having an unlocked door all night when I thought it was locked.Still, it's by far, the best one I've used. I'm hoping the company will continue to improve the technology and gain more consistency.

Lock is easy to install and works well. The Geo-fence feature has some issues but hopefully that can be fixed with a software update. The rechargeable battery is great as well especially if you have an air bnb when the lock would get more use.

ETA#3- I'm so frustrated with this lock. I've had it for about 10 months and it has never worked right. I cannot count the times it has unlocked all by itself (in the middle of the night). It has also locked me out of my house several times bc when in "a jammed state" even the key will not unlock it. I have to get a new lock now bc I can not have my front door unlock randomly, and be locked out regularly, AND it not work correctly when it is kind of working. The geofence has never worked correctly. This is so frustrating to have paid this much money for it, and it not to work right. I would like a refund, but gave it to many chances, and now it is past the refunded date. I would never reccomend to anyone#1 I have had this lock installed for about 2 weeks. The geofence works when leaving home about 70% of the time, and when returning it has only worked twice (so I know it CAN work). I would love to shrink the 100 meter minimum radius down to a smaller area if possible. The code feature only works to unlock the door, I can't get it to LOCK the door (so kids still need a key to lock up when leaving). One time when arriving home (& trying to unlock the door from the app - b/c the geofence/return home never works) I got an error saying the system was down - & I had to use the key - thankfully I had it with me. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller on these issues, and hopefully I'll be able to update this with a better review.ETA#2-Contacted the seller, they were great. They worked with me for several months to get the geo fence to work. However, now it works less than it did before. I can not count on the geofence option to work at all (which is the only reason I bought it) the app, keypad, and key all work most ifnthe time. If your power goes out and comes back on you will not be able to unlock it from the outside with out the key. (You have to reset the lock/wifi). I should have stayed with my previous lock and let the geofence technology get better before I bought this one. Would not reccomend.

I am loving my keyless entry and locking for my shop. I can't tell you how many times I needed to get a tool out of my shop but left my keys inside my house and had to go back to the house and get the keys. Now I don't even have to think about it. I can punch in my code on the keypad or use the app to unlock my shop door. Install was very easy but I did run into a couple of issues because I was in a hurry and didn't read the directions and pay attention to what I was doing. The first issue was that I didn't fully pull off the protective sticker on the battery connections which caused a poor connection until I cleaned it properly. The second was that it supports 2.4 GHz and not 5 GHz which I assume is for better connectivity and it took me a little while to figure out why I couldn't connect. Once I switched to my 2.4 GHz, it was no problem at all. Overall, it works great, looks great and I love it.
