HORI Fighting Stick Mini for Nintendo Switch

This is a thing of beauty - configured for Nintendo Switch and connected via USB A (so you can only use whilst the Switch is docked). The micro switched 8 direction control stick is balanced perfectly and expertly responsive and the buttons (although not micro switched) are also responsive and don’t have too much travel.There is simply NO better way to play Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Edition on Switch or those ACA NeoGeo and Arcade emulations.It should be clear from the product description but this is purely for old school control games - there is no option for the L&R sticks so you won’t be playing Animal Crossing or Borderlands on it so bear that in mind.ALSO it is not just compatible with Switch - as it connects via USB A it will also be compatible with anything that takes this connection such as PC or Android emulation boxes (with configuration) - I’m using it with a Pawky Box running Emuelec and after configuring the buttons it works prefectly with that too.£40 worth spending, definitely.

So smooth, the buttons feel retro beyond compare, amazing size for the accuracy of the inputs and the placement.The turbo goes to 30bps almost, it's amazing.works perfect with the nintendo switch.

Wanted to get a decent arcade stick without shelling out about £100 for one of the high quality ones.Wasn't too sure when first using it. It's lightweight meant it moved sometimes on my lap which could be off-putting. Also - the stick itself needs a fair bit of travel so it seemed a bit of a wrestle sometimes when changing directions quickly. The main buttons as well also had a kind of 'rubbery' feel, where it seemed to take just a bit of extra pressure to make sure I hit it ok.BUT - after getting used to it I found it was helping my game and I no longer have concerns. I've mainly used it for retro arcade games and found myself getting top top scores, and using it on beat em ups has been good too and much preferable to a pad.At some point I'll buy one of the more expensive full size ones, but for its price I'd say this a great value and decent bit of kit to help your game.

Arrived quickly, great product and fun to use when playing older games through the Switch

I'm not someone who plays a lot of fighting games, so I can't say whether or not this might be good for someone who does, but as someone who plays a lot of retro games, and who occasionally gets tired of having a sore thumb, this small stick is wonderful. I also have an 8BitDo wireless arcade stick, but somehow I keep coming back to this one. You can use it by resting it on your lap which you can't do with other arcade sticks which are too large and heavy, but you can also put it on a table if you want where the small bottom rubber pads make sure it doesn't move. For your average 2D platform game like the recently released Mario vs. Donkey Kong on the Switch it works very well. It also has a turbo feature. It also works on a PC, and with a Brooks Wingman XB adapter it will even work on an XBox 360, and with a Brooks Wingman PS2 adapter it will also work on a PS2. I've used it on all of them.Now for the negatives. It just copies the d-pad inputs, not the L-stick or R-stick inputs as other more expensive arcade sticks can do, so it won't work with a game like Super Smash Bros. which requires analog stick inputs. The buttons also can not be remapped on the Switch, and it will even tell you "Cannot remap" if you go into the settings and try. On a PC there are programs like AntiMicroX and JoyToKey or emulators which do allow you to remap it however.While it won't do what everyone wants I'm sure, it is very affordable and is an excellent entry arcade stick for anyone. And for someone like me who just maybe wants an extra small edge at Pac-Man and the 2D platformers as he gets older, it's great.

I love it. It make playing old fighting game awesome and nostalgic, like back at the arcade.

Premetto che forse non è l'ideale per chi ha le mani molto grandi, ma è solo una mia supposizione. Detto questo, è un ottimo joystick che utilizzo per giocare ai titoli retrogaming sulla mia Nintendo Switch. E devo dire che è tutta un'altra storia rispetto al controller classico.

Me gusto mucho que el material de la palanca fuera de buena calidad, se siente muy bien el usarla, los botones no son la gran cosa, de hecho no se siente de muy buena calidad, a comparación del stick, sin embargo cumplen su cometido y lo hacen muy bien.en cuanto al peso lo abrí y le metí yo mas peso dentro del conjunto, esto para que de la sensación de mas firmeza y de mayor calidad, esto ya que es muy liviano, en general me gusto, pero solo lo usaría para juegos retro y causal, no para competitivo.es excelente para jugar todo el catalogo de NES, SNES, SEGA GENESIS, NEO GEO, juegos de Switch como Cuphead, Crash etc, etc.
