MortonCanning & Pickling Salt, 4 Pound Box (Pack of 9)

Took a little bit to get delivered and the outer box looked like it pissed of every one it met on the multi stop journey to my house. It was hilariously damaged. The inner box looked slightly better and the actual boxes of salt just looked slightly annoyed. I did have Approx cup of salt that was just free floating in the box but for the price you can't get much better. Been using it for canning and fermenting and couldn't be happier. Should last for quite a while

I keep a variety of salts around the kitchen for various purposes. While I do a bit of pickling, I most use this salt for tasks like salting pasta water, where there really isn't much benefit to using more expensive salts. And what a great deal. When available at the store, it's at least a few bucks per box... probably 3 or 4. This case of 9 boxes represents a huge discount (not to mention the free shipping w/Prime). It might take some years, but I'm sure I'll go through it all.A word on the packaging... it's quite heavy, and the salt definitely leaks out of the individual containers and into the shipping box. So beware when opening.

This is a lot of salt for the money! I live far from any store that would carry it so being able to have it delivered was perfect.Yes, there was a little salt in the box but that happens with flour and sugar as well. It was double boxed and the individual boxes were perfect.

For the price it can't be beat. It's salt without iodine for canning. One purchase and I have nine boxes. I don't buy salt in vast quantities since I have never canned. Neighbor says I now ready for the apocalypse since they normally stock three boxes and they can everything. I used half a cup this year.

SALT EVERYWHERE! I like Morton Salt, I trust the company, but the box took a massive beating in transport. The nine boxes were packed into a box that fit them well, but was not taped up properly. That box was put into a larger box - presumably because the first one was leaking - but that outside box had way too much room inside and no padding. By the time the shipment arrived, six out of the nine boxes had broken open and leaked. Three of them were down to just over 3lbs out of the 4 they were supposed to be, one is down to less than 2.5lbs, and two are under 2lbs each. Salt all over the UPS truck, salt on my street, salt on my driveway, salt on my yard, salt all over my kitchen. PLEASE PACK BETTER.

I like Morton Canning Salt and when I saw the deal on this I was thrilled! I make a lot of pickles and it takes a lot of salt to do so. The package arrived on time, but was not put on the front porch (which has a roof). It was put in front of the garage door (out in the open). It was leaking salt like crazy. I opened it on my porch because who wants that mess in their house. The other item that I ordered was surrounded by salt, salt poured out of the box that contained the nine boxes of salt and when I opened that box, there was loose salt everywhere. I ended up having to repackage all nine boxes into gallon jars and sweep up about five pounds of salt. I like the product the the packaging caused a huge mess and I lost over a box worth of salt. The location of the package is on the driver of the delivery truck, but the waste and the mess is on the manufacturer/seller.

We use this salt when canning/preserving all of the wonderful food items we grow each season of the year. We just had a “canning party” this past weekend with two other couples and this salt works so well for making the perfect brine. I highly recommend it!

It’s pickling salt as advertised but holy cow what a mess. The boxes all leaked and came in a really strange outside box that was jammed in pretty badly. I don’t think it was the shipping that destroyed the boxes. I think it was actually that the boxes just don’t seal in salt, so there was salt all over everything until I ended up putting these in other containers. I was not too happy.
