A bit bland but the audience likes it
It's OK, my son seems to like it. It's not a story though and you have to use your imagination to make it a phonetics game or something though

Dinosaurs!
This book was ordered for my children, because we’d had this in my family’s home while growing up myself...it’s so lovely to repeat the things you read as a child to your own babies

Disappointing for Rod Campbell fans
Our daughter loves Rod Campbell's Dear Zoo, Dear Santa, and Oh, Dear. They are fun, interactive books with a story. This is pictures of dinosaurs. That's it. There is no interaction. Its a lazy attempt to cash in on the dinosaur craze. Campbell should be ashamed. Just because they are kids doesn't mean they don't deserve to be respected. Save your money, or better yet, buy another book, one that respects your kid.

New (August 2015) Dinosaur Board Book
I own DEAR ZOO by Rod Campbell, which my 18 mo old grandson LOVES! It is a lift the flap and has a bit of a story to it. Because he and his older brother both like dinosaurs, I thought this one would be a home run. However, I bought it before any reviews were available. DINOSAURS board book is very colorful and attempts to convey concepts such as a dinosaur is bumpy. A page shows a cutely drawn dinosaur and says "I'm bumpy". The next page shows the dinosaur again with only the word "Triceratops". There are 20 words in the 12 pages. However, there is nothing to feel, no flaps to lift. It does tell after each picture what the name of the dinosaur is. It is cute, appropriate for the 0-2? year old age, but nothing exciting. It would not scare the 0-2s as the pictures looks almost like cartoon versions of a stuffed animal and they all appear to be smiling. I think this book is too young for my grandsons, but might be enjoyed by those younger than 18 mos. For a child unfamiliar with dinosaurs it could be a very basic introduction to 6 of them.
