This book was well worth the search. And, the price was incredible. This is a gorgeous book of beautiful dream catchers with a lot of history in it. If you are able to locate this book and have any interest in a dream catchers at all, purchase it! You will not be sorry. It is gorgeous!

A very rare book, which professionally describes symbolism of native american craft of making artefacts. As a practitioner of folk art I highly recommend this book for everyone, who wants not only to study how to weave, but want to understand deeper the essence of this craft, its meaning.

Beautiful pictures, wonderful book

It’s a nice book, though not as much lore and legend as I’d expected and the photos seem to be predominantly from one artist. It was a gift and I was hoping for more of the meaning behind the elements of a dream catcher.

Good read contains some interesting information.

If you only get one book about dream catchers, this would be the one to get. It's beautifully illustrated, including with examples from museum collections, written for the popular audience, and also separates the history of dream catchers from all the new age woo that is out there.Sadly, the author died just as this book was coming out, but it serves as a nice memorial to all her efforts.

Fascinating and especially appropriate for young students who are curious.Explanations give sufficient insight into the culture of collecting dream catchers..

Rather boring. Mostly about contemporary dream catchers. Nice photos,but of little historical or folklore value.

It’s a wonderfully inspiring book. I make traditional dreamcatchers, and to find out more not only of my own Indigenous heritage, but to have in depth understanding of the art for I am passionate about is a dream come true. Well written, researched, and photographed. I highly recommend
