This kit, what can I say?? Well lets start by saying this isn't an iFixit kit, it is missing the large pallet knife spudger thing and the suction cup included is... well it's pants, arrives and it's bent out of shape and even after straightening it out won't stick enough to lift a screen.But the driver kit is awesome, the spudgers don't give the plastic picks are a little thick so you need to lit with a spudger to get it in but works well. The tweezers are well made and so far at least I haven't shot a screw to the other side of the room with them when trying to pick it up so that's a bonus!The ruler is a monster, it likes the taste of blood and will extract it at every opportunity. I think a little time spent rounding off the corners wouldn't go a-miss.I'm trying to focus on the negatives but that is all I have, the kit is well put together, fits nicely in my bag and I'm yet to find a project I can't complete with this kit!I have taken apart iPhones, PlayStations, PCs and laser engravers with this set, kept everything organised with the magnetic pad and then put it all back together.I love this kit and I don't know why I'd spend almost 3 times as much on the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit. I could break every component in this kit twice over and still only be £5 out of pocket replacing it again!

I bought this mainly because where I work the precision toolkit I was issued was awful. So i bought my own and kept it in my drawer. It has everything you could possibly need to fix a laptop, phone or PC. Basically it has tools for every kind of equipment. Its well made, i love the magnetic pad. Although it solves the losing of screws. It doesn't solve the where did this screw come from conundrum as there is always one left.The wallet/pouch it comes in is well made. Fits in a backpack or drawer with ease. Looks very professional and does its job well as all tools have a dedicated slot or pouch.

I needed to take apart my laptop. because it is a laptop/tablet, it doesn't have compartments for the hard drive and ram like other laptops. so I have to open the chassis and it quite difficult to open the chassis. This toolkit really did the job (I did run into another issue with and couldn't remove the hard drive because it seems to be stuck to the chassis! Hopefully the next time I open it I will be able to pry it lose. ) I'm happy with my new ram and now feel comfortable opening up a laptop anytime.This is a good quality and affordable toolkit that suited my needs.

The first thing that strikes you when you open the packaging, is just how much you get for your money. It's obvious to know where it's competitor lies. So I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this toolkit. Firstly, it's well packaged, and comes with a nice, durable case. The tools themselves are plentiful, but the quality is much better than I anticipated. You'd be forgiven for thinking you would get a cheap and cheerful set of tools just thrown together and sold at a rock bottom price to massively undercut its competitors. For the money you get a lot, I paid more than this just for a screwdriver set fairly recently. The prying tools are equally well made and made my job of getting the back off a Lenovo Laptop very easy indeed. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a great set, i’ve so far replaced a few screens on iPhones with it, my first impressions were alright, there was a few things that bugged me and i’ll just mention them quickly before going into detail with other things…Firstly the magnetic mat, there is nothing wrong with it, it’s very strong and screws dont fall off, but with how it is packaged in the set it's permanently bent on the ends, this annoys me a little bit BUT it doesn’t take away from the performance and is purely an aesthetic issue for me so i can’t rate it down for that. (Included Photo)Secondly there are two bits that don’t have slots and are just loose to fly around in the case, this is also like i’ve said just a minor thing, but where they are they could have easily made slots for them, there is plenty of space for that. (Included Photo)Now I already own a precision screwdriver set (No other bits and bobs like this one, just screw heads) but none of the heads on that one were small enough for the items i was repairing, so i had to find another one, i’ve always wanted an IFixIt kit but i’m not prepared to spend £50-60 on one (Plus all the extras that cost more money) and always like to try these cheaper alternatives, this is the cheapest set i could find that has so many bit and bobs with it as a bonus, the first thing i used this on was a screen replacement for an iPhone SE, and that is where i encountered my first problem with this set, i’ll try not to go into too much detail and stray away from the review, but, iPhones have what are called ‘Pentalobe’ screws at the bottom that keep the screen in place, the aforementioned kit had one that fit the ones of the Iphone but this one doesn’t, so if i didn’t have the other kit this one would have been useless for iPhone repairs.A lot of the parts are shoved in a little pouch in the corner (Cloth, suction cup/sim ejector tool, ESD Wrist Strap, 2 Triangle Plectrum’s and Magnetizer/demagnetizer)Because of this, the suction Cup is completely useless, its bent and takes a lot of fiddling/force to correctly place it on the screen, but with the force/fiddling you have to do the screen just ends up popping back on, also there is a sim ejector bit part of the screwdriver set so the sim ejector tool is useless and they could have just put one of the loose bits in its placeAs for the longevity of this kit i can’t say as i’ve only done a handful of repairs, all the plastic bits (Spudgers, Pryers etc etc) are are very very strong, i’ve gotten some of the strongest people around me to try and snap them and they can’t so that’s a good sign.All the bits just seem to be of very good quality for the price, and if ever anything breaks on me i’ll come back and update my review explaining what has broken, how it's been broken, and how long it lasted.This is all i can really say about this product.I would highly recommend this if you like to save money and go for cheaper alternatives!

As a senior IT Technican, I’m particular about quality over quantity. On initial inspection, this set appears to be solid and is comprehensive enough for most electronical tasks relating to computing, phones, toys and other electrical or electronic gear. The case is decent too and the whole package appears to be well thought out!I don’t expect it to be perfect, but it should last a decent time and take a decent pounding!Only time and tasks will tell, but if it begins to fall apart I shall consider a repost or update. I can’t see that being the case.Overall, you definitely won’t be disappointed.Hope this helps!
