worked as a butt set.
Used once as a backup for regular butt set. The clips aren't universal enough - get something with bed of nails clips.

Works great!
For anyone that still has a home phone like I do it works great to test the main line to the house.

Extremely versatile test phone
Honestly this is way better than a butt set for basic landline telephone troubleshooting. The clips are a lot smaller and more precise to grab just the pair you want in the 66-block and have your hands free to make a test call on the phone. Or for a quick dial-tone test, you can use the fork probes and just shove them right between the pairs you want to test. It even comes with a coupler so you can test a phone line where the wall jack is buried behind furniture. It feels kind of light as far as the build quality, but also I dropped it on a concrete floor and it was fine (but I don't recommend doing that). Very happy with this purchase.

Poor quality, limited usefullness
Only works with 2-conductor lines, useless with 4-conductor ports. Also the "user manual" is in incomprehensible "English".
