Has two settings, energy efficient and regular
Extremely pleased with the DR-1400HP's capacity to heat my enormous pool. But please be aware this heater has two settings energy efficient and regular. Energy efficient ( two bars) is super quiet and efficient (80% reading) but this setting is not what you want to heat up your pool. You want regular setting ( three bars) quiet and efficient (100% reading). See online instruction manual for how to switch between the two. My unit also came in energy efficient mode and would not heat up sufficiently until I switched to regular setting.Perhaps the company just wants to demonstrate just how unbelievable quiet energy efficient mode is. But I find regular mode is still quieter than my pentair quietest pool pump. In any event the heater adjusts its run speed and energy output to your desired pool temp so it adjusts automatically anyways.The a/c installer I hired to install the product thought the product was extremely well built. It looks great. Super quiet. Heats huge pool to a cozy even temperature. Amazon delivered to my house. Electric bill seems reasonable for how I run it/size of my pool. I would definitely recommend.

worked for a couple of weeks... dead and no help
this heat pump seems well made and worked as advertised for a couple of weeks. The controls are a bit cumbersome... having to push and hold buttons to select, lock, and unlock (counterintuitive). But it warms the water relatively quickly... my pool with ambient temp of 60 degrees at night and 70s during the day took three days to move pool temp from 75 to 82 degrees. Not great and nowhere near as fast as a gas or electric heater. Then this week... it threw a code for gas exhaust temperature sensor failure and does not work at all. Manual identifies the code with a description, but that is it. Website has NOTHING. I hav tried registering twice... no response from company. I would receommend DO NOT BUY... TOO MUCH MONEY WEASTED FOR A NOW USELESS HUNK OF METAL next to my pool equipment.

Works great. It works quietly and is easy to set up with your phone. The children are very happy!

High quality - low energy
Easy to install, 2" inlet and outlet, with adapters provided.With the efficient variable DC motor, 220volt a 30 amp breaker required.Most electric heaters draw much more amps.Heats my 25,000 gal pool quickly, and the spa extremely fast.

Excellent Product !
True Inverter Technology which will save you money ! Easy to install. But - trying to get specific information from this company is almost impossible. They just don't want to provide specific answers - only general information - even though they profess to offer great customer service. That is our ONLY disappointment. Overall, a great piece of equipment !

Worst product , rated totally wrong
I rarely review things....but this has to be the worst product I have purchased . My pool is way under the max rating (12k, they say 18k)....it's been fairly warm out ...70s and 80s... I have literally done everything to make it run as efficiently as possible. Even crazy stuff like pushing very warm propane heated air ...and humidity (which it wants) into it... it could make a cup of hot tea !Could not be more dissatisfied.Ran it for days and days ....covered the pool, etc.... do not buy !

Great Product!!
I am really happy with this product. The app is easy to use and the heater works great. For my pool I get about 1 degree of heating per hour, so it's easy to plan a warm pool day since I don't run it all the time. The heater is very quiet when running at 100% and essentially noiseless once the temperature is reached. I highly recommend this product!
