Good product, would probably buy again
I bought this to use in some little silicone moulds for confectionary/soaps. I haven't used Plaster of Paris since I was really young so I was a bit nervous but was actually quite impressed with the final results. Here is a summary of the product from my experience of using it:Amount: It says on the tub 1 to 1.5 cups of water and plaster. This makes A LOT. I threw 95% of what I had mixed away so if you are using small moulds like me use smaller measurements - I am going to use the measuring cap from a bottle of laundry liquid next time.Consistency: I stuck to the proportions stated on the tub and I found it was extremely thick and was setting very quickly, I was unable to pour it from the jug and had to use a spatula. Had I been using larger moulds (ie for figures) I am not sure it would have gone right down into the mould properly.Colour: When mixed and on the day of casting the plaster looked like an off white/light grey colour, but after it had completely set (I left mine overnight) they had whitened up quite a lot.Drying time: I was able to pop the items out of my mould after about half an hour, however as I said I was using small, shallow moulds (seashells), if it is a larger mould I would leave it a lot longer than that. Finally, there are a couple of air bubbles on my cast items but for my first attempt there are only one or two so I am satisfied with it in that way, just make sure you pack it well into the mould and give it some good hard taps once the plaster is in. Also I have found the shapes are brittle enough to break between your fingers once set (after 24 hours) I am unsure if all plaster of paris does this or not as again, I haven't used it for about 20 years, but if I try another brand and can compare I will come back and update my review.I have not tried to paint the items I cast yet but again, will come back and update on how that goes when I get round to it.I would buy this again as it is good value for money, but I may try another brand first, just to see how it compares.

Great for school projects
The product itself was great, we have never used it before so didn’t know what to expect! It was straight forward to mix together and followed the instructions to the letter and the end result is what we wanted. We left it over night to dry and it was pretty solid the only thing that I found a tad strange was it still felt quite damp after it had dried all night even though it was solidI’m not sure if that’s supposed to happen or if it’s a normal thing to occur but it didn’t deter us from painting etcI would say it’s great for beginners and school tasks! Really well priced and definitely would purchase again if needed too

Easy to use, tidy to use. No mess.
I put 1 star for the presentation because it was in a plastic bag inside a plastic box which was pointless as it was open anyway 😑It looks really really small when you get it compared to the pictures, however, this really works great! It does take a long time to set fully but if you just leave it alone and forget it for a few hours it is so worth it. Tidy to use. Easy to use. You literally just add water. Instructions are clear on there. 1.5 cups of this put into 1 cup of water. Done. Took mine about 5 hours to fully set..it held up my little 10mm thick dowel that was supporting a very heavy sweet tree and i only used the 1.5 cup of it.☺️Very happy with it and i have loads left, it looks like i didn't use any.

MEASURE IT! Great product for a cheap price
START OF WITH LESS WATER THAN YOU THINK! A lot less. Luckily I had plenty left because it’s like icing sugar, only use a very small amount of water with it, yet work quickly. I didn’t have any measuring tools so eyeballed it but definitely recommend actually measuring it because it was a bit of a disaster but definitely wasn’t their fault.

Usual plaster of Paris but not white
Plaster of Paris is pretty easy to use and I bought this to make something with my children as a snow scene. Although easy to use, it is not as nice as the previous plaster of Paris I bought (not this brand). When it has dried, it is not fully white, but a more of an off white / very pale grey colour

Good for purpose. Check H&S with children!
Bought for school. Year 5/6 science. BEWARE of health and safety in schools. I used this myself as children aren't even supposed to be in class with the dust these days. I did all the fun stuff at lunchtime, alone, without wearing my mask! The kids got to see the result after lunch and a video of the process. I then took it home to use WITH my own children, dust and all, who had great fun making moulds and models like we used to in the old days.

Good for making sea fishing lure moulds
I used it for making soft lure moulds using a variety of materials, which was both great fun and gave me exactly the construct I wanted.. The plaster casts have been durable and the lures come up fine. Tip: working at low temperatures (e.g. a cool garage/workshop) helps the plaster set more slowly, so no need to rush anything.
