I really like dagger brushes, and these work fine. I'm not a big fan of synthetic, I prefer a blend or natural hair. Still, a good value.

I used it for oil painting with lot of white spirit. Very good

I like the assorted sizes which will give me a chance to learn how to control dagger brushes. I also purchased Neptune which has longer "hairs". I like the length and shape of these better. They hold an adequate amount of water/paint. Should make painting leaves and flower petal shapes easier after some practice. Happy with my purchase and definitely worth trying.

For the price, I expected a so-so set of brushes, but these are good! They're medium-firm, don't lose hairs, and dance like a dagger should. The variety of sizes is true to description.As an intermediate watercolorist, I actually like them far more than the softer Silver Black Velvet dagger because they hold their shape better. Easier with these brushes for beginners to get good, expressive strokes one expects with daggers.

Great size assortment, reasonably priced and good quality bristles! I paint with acrylics on canvas. Easy to clean. For technique I could load three colors along the sloped side of the brush for added dimension in one stroke.
