My previous float was not a good quality and began falling apart the first time it was used. This Goldblatt float is perfect after 2 days use. The sponges came vacuum packed and the directions stated to add them to a bucket of water and they would expand quickly to their proper size. Well, it wasn't quickly, took most of the day to expand. Once they expanded and dried they were perfect.

Grout float is nice quality. So are the sponges once you get the air back in them. They come vacuum packed and flattened together.My usual trick of throwing them in the dryer on low heat didn’t work. I did as another reviewer suggested, and submerged them in water. That worked great for me: submerge them in water, keep them under the surface, and keep squeezing them to force more water into them. Water-logging them puffs them back up to a normal thickness, just takes a bit of effort and drying time.Took off a star for how much work it takes to make the sponges usable. They aren’t that large, and the shipping box mine came in would’ve fit them fine without being vacuum packed. If you need the sponges usable and dry quickly, I’d skip this set, buy the float only, and grab sponges locally.

Absolutely thrilled with my grout float and sponges! They made retiling my bathroom a breeze. The float provided smooth, even application, while the sponges effortlessly wiped away excess grout. Plus, the durability ensures I'll be using them for many projects to come. Highly recommend!

Got this style grout spreader from looking at online reviews/videos. Could not be happier! Tiled my new shop shed myself, and then grouted it with my Bro-In-Law. Smooth, easy to use, gets the grout in, and leaves little to wipe up on the tiles, maximizing your grout. Pro tip is you have to soak the sponges for a while to "puff" them up as they come vacuum sealed and thin as a cracker. I put them in a huge bowl and squeezed them occasionally to help them absorb water. Then fully dried them before use, and they worked very well. Zero complaints about this combo deal, and the shop shed floor looks amazing!

Float works very well, able to apply grout and wipe off excess cleanly and reuse. Very little waste using this float.Sponges came vacuum packed and totally compressed. Not usable upon receipt. I left 1 out in the hot sun all day and it spring back to original shape.

Sponge quick fix! The sponges come vacuum sealed. To get them back in its original shape, I soaked them in water and squeezed it submerged. I then pulled it out and pinched along the side of the sponge while pulling each side and worked it to the center. Eventually, it'll look like a sponge again.

This package was a good deal at this price. The float did a really good job on the initial cleaning. Hardly had to do any sponge cleaning. Tile turned out great!
