WORKS PREFECTLY!!!
This device has worked flawlessly for me. I am using it to transmit data between a Windows 10 tablet and a RS232 device. When the serial adaptor is first paired with the computer, a virtual com port was created and I was able to successfully communicate through this port. I was also able to receive data directly through the Bluetooth protocol without using the virtual port. I have been letting it run for several days with a constant transmission occurring every second and it has yet to fail, or even slow down. Highly impressive!A few notes about setup:All setup can be performed using an ASCII terminal, such as hyperterminal, or similar. I personally love this capability because it means the device can be configured by any computer without having to maintain special software or worry about future availability of the third-party software.I had to turn off the echo and prompt settings (ECHO=N and PROMPT=N) Apparently if data is continually being transmitted (at higher baud rates) to the device before it has successfully paired with the computer, it will not be able to connect, but turning these off fixed the problem as clearly stated in their manual Q and A.If this is hooked up to something that will be transmitting RS232 data, chances are you will need to use a null cable with pins 2 and 3 crossed. I found, however, that all of the null modem cables I had did not correctly route the pin 9 so the device was not being powered. Make sure you use a null cable that passes the pin 9, or do what I did and make your own cable that crosses pins 2 and 3,but passes 9 straight through. The design is flawless as well. All the switches are inset so it would be very unlikely for the switches to accidentally be pressed. It also has a very minimalistic design with two indicator lights, one for power and one for Bluetooth connection status.I can not recommend this device enough, especially for the very reasonable price.

impeccable
Fonctionne parfaitement, mise en service en 5 minutes. Contrairement à d'autres modèles il est cher mais il le vaut bien.

Support made great attepmt to make it work but no plug and play
I bought this to connect a serial port on a motor controller for a telescope to my Win10 laptop. Great credit goes to the tech support who despite language difficulties made great attempts to help me make it work. In the end the desired outcome (establish BT communication to RS232 port) failed. Maybe some with better skills than me can benefit from this device. I couldn't.

Successfully Used for Telescope Control with a Tablet
Successfully used for telescope control - connected an Orion Xt 10i to this device with Orion's serial cable. Then paired to android tablet for Sky Safari interface. No issues when connecting to telescope or tablet. Only had to slide one switch position on the side of the unit and it worked great.
