Is the material cool/cold to the touch? Memory foam traps heat and makes me overly warm sometimes. Thanks!

I used to use flat mouse pads and it would leave some discomfort in my wrist but since using these ergonomic mouse pads they are soft comfortable and cool to the touch I have no wrist pain at all. They never get warm or hot unless you're resting your hands on there for a couple hours which I doubt you will. Even then I also doubt it'll be very uncomfortable. Trust me you won't regret it but I must warn you they do take up a good amount of space for that leisurely comfort that you will experience. But my station where I work at are at are just big enough to handle the three mouse pads that I bought of similar design. Anyway hopefully this answers your question and if not then I apologize and hopefully someone else could satisfy your question with your desired answer.
