I got the Style B compass. For the price, it is nicer than I was expecting. Good quality brass case, sturdy lid closure, good hinge. The compass is liquid filled and damps nicely. Points in exactly the same direction as my Brunton, Silva, and Suunto compasses. (I know, too damn many compasses for one person. But this one is for vest-pocket use while walking those twisty streets of Europe.) It doesn't seem likely to freeze up after being carried in a vertical position in the pocket, but if it ever does I'll come back and change this review.

Beautiful heavy-duty brass finish. The phosphors glow-n-da-dark lettering works and is cool!This compass should last forever! A family heirloom.

This is a cheap compass. It is not great. It is "adequate." Good for the cheap price of about $10. It is not liquid filled. It is not "military". But it does work for its function.What makes it worth reviewing is that the form factor makes it dang convenient - for the purse, backpack, pocket, of glove box in your car. It is so easy to slip this in with whatever else you carry with you. A mediocre compass that you have is 1,000x better than either a bad compass that is too small to read or the compass you are not carrying with you.

Ordered a pair for some out door adventure activities for a group of friends and neither compass I received accurately points north... they just move whatever direction your facing and north is apparently 360 degrees... these are cheap and not worth purchasing. Spend an extra $10 and get one that actually work.

North heading has to be compensated for direction.

I bought this for a costume and it looks great. I cannot attest to how accurate it is, but honestly I would not buy this one if my life relied on it as it does seem nore decorative. It was also put into the casing slightly crooked.

This visor isn’t sturdy and broke within just months…I’m not happy.
