Fun sound and easy to play
I had a friend who played the spoons in the background in our local pub but sadly passed many years ago.He was not in any group,I would say he was from a generation long gone.and he played for his own entertainment until arthritis got the better of him.I'm retired now and have no music skills at all but for some reason I got to thinking of Danny and tried my hand at the spoons. Its a nightmare trying to hold them so I took the easy option and bought these. Now I’m not ready for the British public but you give me a catchy Rolling Stones number like you can’t catch me (Chuck Berry)and I’m jamming like a goodun

It makes playing the spoons very easy. I wish the quality of spoons were a bit better though as they sound is very 'tinny'. A nice addition to the instruments I give the audience though

A great learning aid that work well.
Spending far too long browsing Youtube you often come up on random videos where you're not really sure how you got there. For me one of these was Abby The Spoon Lady. Shes a lady called Abby, and she plays the spoons. Like the impressionable idiot I am I watched her videos and then went downstairs to raid the kitchen drawers: Cut to 3 days later and my girlfriend telling me I'm no longer allowed to play the spoon within earshot of her. Fair point. Not to be put off I found this item which promised to make it much easier to learn. The block of wood means that you dont have to worry about the spoons slipping and you losing your grip whilst trying to master the basics, and they really do work. You'll be bashing along to your choice of hillbilly country tunes in no time.My only criticism is that the spoons don't slide out of the wooden block to be used on their own. Theres also the issue that in using this you're not going to learn how to hold the spoons between your fingers, which seems to be a bout 80% of the learning process, though this isnt the products fault of course. If you found my review useful please let me know :o)

I brought these for my dad. They do sound a bit tinny like that people have suggested (BUT I have no experience of knowing what good spoons are actually suppose to sound like)anyway my dad loves them end of :)
