Q: Do you need an arch frame or some form of support for the arch?

Not really. I just hang it up tiding its sides with the golden rope like thing they send together. You can use nail to hang the rope

Q: Can you use helium in these? I want to make them into balloon trees instead of an arch.

I don’t see why not, good quality balloons. You will need a large canister though as lots of balloons

Q: How long did your arch last? if i start today (wed) will it be ok for sat? not using helium. thanks

I put mine up about a month ago and it's still going strong so I think it should be ok, I didn't use helium either

Q: How do you get a garland that's so full? Do you have to put more than 1 balloon in each hole on the garland strip?

I just alternated which way I put them into the wholes and then you fill it in with smaller balloons which are all provided it does become full very quick
