Perfectly, and unobtrusively, meet the purpose.
As others have said this is very expensive for 2 small pieces of plastic. I bought the screw in version for my Samsung Galaxy Tab so that I could mount it to the wall and use it as an access panel for my home automation. The two brackets are very small (9cm long) and discrete. I chose the white versions and against a light coloured wall they are almost 'invisible'. The ABS plastic is tough but slightly flexible and once screwed (or stuck) to the wall perfectly adequate to support a tablet. I'm sure that the 3M adhesive versions are up to the job but I preferred the screw in versions because, in my view, that is even more secure and also because moving it will leave only 2 small holes to be filled. The screw heads are painted white which I thought was good attention to detail, however, there are a number of other details which have not been covered and these are the negatives which reduced my rating to 3 star. The screw in version has 2 small pads on the back, I think these are meant to compensate for less than flat surfaces but at first I thought they were additional adhesive pads and spent sometime trying to peel off what turned out to be non-existent backing (the instructions were silent with respect to what the purpose of these are). Not a big deal but slightly annoying.Far more annoying was the fact that the side bars completely covered the tablet charging port. I appreciate that different tablets have different charging port positions but I do believe that with more thought this issue could have been 'designed' out. In the end I had to entirely cut out one strut and remove a lot of material from 2 others (with a stanley knife) in order to be able to get sufficient access to the charging port. If nothing else I think that the design should take account that many will need to do this. The end result is relatively inconspicuous (compared to a micro usb plug) and did not appear to seriously impact the rigidity of the brackets. I recommend that any such surgery is carried out before you fix the brackets in place as trying to do it with the bracket on the wall is rather tricky (as I found out myself !).Finally (for those buying the screw in version), these are fixed with a single screw at the centre point of the bracket. I find that once screwed up tight this was fine but if the fixing is even slightly loose (or becomes looser later on) there is a danger that the brackets will pivot out of position. This can be easily fixed by screwing each bracket at 2 points but you would need to screw a 2nd hold in each bracket to do that.I appreciate that this review is pernickety but feel that the manufacturer could have made this product better value if they had attended to these details.UPDATE 18NOV17 - Following this review I was contacted by Dockem customer support who clarified that the purpose of the pads on the back of the screw-in version is to help fix the mounts against a less than perfectly flat wall and that Version 2 of these devices have already been modified to ensure that power ports on a Samsung Tablet are not obscured. I have already tried out the new version and rated it at 5 stars and therefore in fairness I have re-rated this device as well. At the risk of repeating my other review, in my view these mounts (providing you choose the right version) perfectly meet the purpose for which I intend them and for that reason deserve a top rating.

Work well :-)
Might seem a little pricey, the pagkaging is a little over the top in my opinion, but the product does work well. Bought one pair to test and just purchased another 3 for a client now I'm happy with them. Not really found anything like this on the market, and these will be used in a commercial setting in a busy Bar/Cafe.

Very neat, but it has one flaw....
This is an incredibly neat and ridiculously simple bit of kit. Just two brackets into which your ipad or iphone will slide. I wanted something like this for the wall of our garden cabin so I would have my iPad up while I ride my exercise bike. You literally just screw one end up, adjust the other end to fit and the ipad slides in and is held securely. The beauty of it is that I don't even need to take the case off of the ipad. It very well designed except in one small - but important - respect. The screw heads are too small. I was screwing directly into wood without needing plugs but the screw heads actually pass through the holes. I replaced the screws with some of the same length but with very slightly larger heads and the problem was solved. Otherwise I would have given this 5 stars for sure. So simple but so effective. As to value for money - well, for two pieces of moulded plastic and a couple of screws, it seems expensive, but it does the job. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. Clearly some people thought it should be gold plated for the price...... ;-)

Just what we needed!
Made a base to mount these onto, then screwed it into the drop down tv mount in the motorhome.Easy to slide the ipad into and watch films!Perfect, and alot cheaper than buying a tv monitor!

Koala Mount for iPad , Worth it???
"The Koala mount for iPads does the job of securely holding the device in place, but the quality does not match the price. The metal-like appearance is deceiving, as they are actually made of plastic. The inclusion of just two plastic clips for 11 pounds feels overpriced for what you get."

Simple solution for iPad on wall
Wanted for elderly person with some dementia so we had a visible noticeboard that she could see easily. This holds the iPad securely and is easy to install. You can also slip the iPad in and out after if you need to remove it.

Simple product, excellent customer service
Really handy and simple piece of kit. Originally bought one with aheasive straps, but even though I followed the instructions completely, it didn't work. I messaged Customer care and they did a wonderful job in sorting out my issue and directed me to this. In particular, Dayton did a wonderful and efficient job in answering my emails. They use simple hardened plastic plasterboard screw plugs which are ample for today's tablets, but be careful, they are just as sharp as a metal plugs.Have had no issues, and makes relaxing in bed watching my shows an ease knowing I won't fall asleep and knock my tablet off the bed and on to the hard floor

Does the job. Well made. But expensive.
It's basically two plastic bits (the tablet fits into), 2 screws, and 2 sorta hybrid rawlplugs which you hammer into the wall first, to give you something to screw the screws into. You may not need the plastic rawlplugs - I tried to hammer them into my wall and broke one immediately. But I could screw the screws straight into the wall instead, just fine. It's quite pricey for what it is, but there doesn't seem to be many options in this area at the moment, and it does fit my tablet perfectly. I have no worries about it falling down - the plastic seems strong, and the tablet seems well supported. It loses a star because it's 2 small bits of plastic and a couple of screws and it's more than £10 - which seems extravagantly expensive.
