Pet wont get hooked
My dog loves to be in the boat, but I worried about him getting hooked by one of the lures on my rods in the boat. This solved the problem, happy dog, happy me

comes FLAT - lets you decide how to use them
The basic premise of this is to provide a wrap to enclose fishing lures while you are not using that particular rod setup. The solution is also very basic - a sheet of plastic with hook-n-loop fasteners on the perimeter that allows you to wrap the lure/hook(s) and secure it to the fishing rod. Before you say - I could have done that - remember, these guys DID DO THAT!There are two sizes of wraps in the package (10 larger/10 medium size) so you have a number to choose from. While they have hook-n-loop around the edges, they can blow out of a boat or into the body of water with a good breeze so take a bit of care with them. The larger one is about 8" square with the medium sized one about 7" square. Because of this size, you will likely need to store the extras (or leave them at home) when you go fishing. This size also give you the option of 'making' your own pouch to transport lures in your pocket if you choose to leave the tackle box behind.Again, I know this is something that anyone could have done - these guys did it and they did it well. While a bit larger than what I would typically need, the wraps will do their job for smaller lures as well as larger ones. I would recommend these especially for anglers who fish from a boat because it will allow you the ability to leave rod(s) rigged and ready but still safe to be around.

Great concept at a fair price
These are smartly designed covers for lures and hooks that can easily be wrapped around a rod for protection or individually wrapped around lures and hooks for safe storage and organization. The clear plastic is thick and durable and the hook and loop edging is durably stitched onto the edges. One place for improvement however would be with the hook and loop/Velcro area. The narrow width of the hook and loop edging results in closure that’s not quite as secure as one might expect and the fact that it stops so far from the center folding area means that you don’t get complete closure when wrapping these around individual lures (that aren’t on a rod). I know that adding it all the way to the very center would make them stiffer and more difficult to fold but a wider hook and loop edge would most likely make up for this (plus, all material develops a “memory” once it’s been folded enough times and/or for a long enough duration of time). Other than that, these are a great concept that results in very useful covers/organizers for a variety of sharp and/or delicate items.

Easy to use, effective!
These are very simple to use and work great. I made some of my own several years ago, but for the cost of hook/loop you cannot make them for the price you can get these. Simply open, place around your pole/hook/lure, then seal the hook and loop. The clear, thick PVC makes it easy to see what the pole is rigged with and simply wipes clean with a damp rag. The PVC and web edging is sturdy but bends easily around pole. Nice to receive two sizes so even the largest hooks/lure can be covered. We store our poles in a fleece lined storage bag over the winter and these work great to keep hooks/lures from snagging the fleece or outer material. In the boat they keep us and our grand pup safe. If for some reason the hook dislodges, these keep it contained. Simple, effective, and great value.

Good For Preventing Lures from Snagging Boat Carpet.
I have mixed thoughts on these – they aren’t my first choice to organize and secure lures, plastic tackle boxes and worm cases are far superior, but they do have their place and purpose and I do like them. For tackle storage, I’ve done remote fly-in fishing trips where every ounce matters – these would be great for situations like that where conventional tackle systems aren’t the best option. I’m planning a portage trip to the boundary waters next year and these will come with me instead of my traditional setups.A more common and convenient, and arguably the greatest, use for these is to ensure lures don’t snag your boat carpet. For anyone who owns a boat without integrated rod storage, you can probably understand how frustrating it is when treble hooks catch the carpet during trips to and from the lake. I’ve done this more times than I can count and while most people would probably wise up and place their rods in the truck rather than letting them rest in the boat, I am not most people. These sleeves are great for ensuring that the hooks don’t snag. They’re easy to put on and take off and the plastic pvc sheeting has not been punctured by a hook yet. I keep one on all of my rods for transit, particularly when I’m going out trolling with lures that have multiple treble hooks.Since this kit came with so many, and I’m not using them for tackle storage regularly, I repurposed a few to use for other applications. My motion duck decoys don’t have a way to integrate the weight storage, so I used these to keep the decoy line and weights organized so the cord doesn’t tangle and the weight doesn’t bang up the other decoys.
