Diamine80 ml Bottle Fountain Pen Ink, Earl Grey

I use this ink for watercolor sketching as well as for calligraphy. It behaves well for both black letter and copperplate styles, with particularly interesting shading in larger script. The soft, dusty, dark grey color suggests a faded, "vintage" look for faux-historical style documents. The beautiful chromatography makes it a favorite for art on the go though. All you need for a fun day of sketching in the woods or out in the city is a flex-nib fountain pen filled with Diamine Earl Grey + a water-brush + a watercolor notebook. And it won't weigh down your day pack.

This ink is a really nice grey with some shades of purple/blue or something like that. I like it very much. Performs very well on Rhodia and Midori. The pens are safe with this English brand. I recommend this ink.

Great texture and color.

I was worried that the ink wouldn't be dark enough for my purposes, but it's actually pretty dark in my fountain pen (close-ish to black). Recommended if you need ink for everyday use.

I love it and bought it twice over I use it so often. I think it's worth sampling. Diamine makes a really nice ink.

A lovely grey with a blue tinge. Similar to Pilot Iroshizuku's Fuyu-syogun.

When the ink dries it is water resistant. But OMG the colors that bleed out when you add water or use it on wet on wet technique is breathtaking. It works well with the bleaching technique. It has beautiful shades of a light blue grey and pink. Definitely one of my favorite inks to use.

Love this ink. It has a purple blue hew which separates out when mixed with water but is almost black when put on thickly. I use it in addition to watercolour painting and its awesome for shadows. One of my favourite inks. I saw it recommended by a professional artist and it is as superb as was suggested.

the ink looks black when wet but is a lovely purple grey when dry. But as it's expensive I may think twice before ordering again.

Etant un passionné de stylos plume j'ai continué à compléter ma collection d'encre Diamine et j'ai donc acheté un encrier de 80 ml d'encre Earl Grey après avoir déjà acheté un encrier d'encre grise. L'encre Earl Grey tire davantage sur le noir ce qui lui confère une lisibilité accrue : j'utilise cette encre dans des stylos plume à plume M en acier ou en or et j'obtiens un résultat de très bonne qualité, cette encre permet de se faire plaisir tout en étant parfaitement capable d'être une encre de travail pour un EDC. Plus j'utilise les encres Diamine plus je me félicite de leur qualité à peine inférieure aux Edelstein Pelikan : il suffit juste de procéder à des essais pour voir quelle encre va le mieux avec tel ou tel stylo car il existe des affinités électives surprenantes dans le domaine des stylos plume qui après avoir longtemps en voit de disparition sauf pour quelques passionnés font de nouveau parti des accessoires à la mode, il est vrai que le bon goût et la distinction demeurent en toutes circonstances des valeurs sûres.
