What can I say... Basil, my hamster is perfectly happy walking around on this stuff. I do mix in some softer materials too though and he does have an absolutely giant sand bath play area, so he is very spoiled. But yeah, this stuff is priced well, is good quality, is soft enough not to hurt little hamster feets, the colour is brown as expected and it looks in appearance as it does in the items pictures. Don't be ripped off by certain brand names, get something good for the job like this, at a much fairer price.

Use this for my pet rats and they love it. Perfect size for substrate or bedding. Low-no dust! Very happy little ratties 🐁🐀🐭

I started using this for my Syrian hamster after he had respiratory infections whilst on C&C and other similar beddings. I put a thick layer of it in my hamsters enclosure and sprinkle lots of "paper flakes" on top, and use the teabag bedding/tissue paper for nesting. When I empty the cage there is a bit of dust, but it's less than other beddings and isn't the kind that flies about everywhere when they burrow. One big con for me is that is has a horrible smell when it's been wee'd on. So okay if you can spot clean, but gross if you can't. :/

Hammy seems to like it although I did hear her sneeze 🤧 so will keep an eye out for that. She seems ok in it .

Bought this for my boys Wallace and Gromit. Both have respiratory issues so this is excellent. Minimum mess and dust and my boys love playing in it
