I bought this based on the excellent reviews and the Q&A section, which talked about how quick it was to recharge, and how long the charge lasted, as I wanted it to use to light my piano music. However, I clearly didn't pay enough attention to the actual product description as the product I received isn't rechargeable (I tend to scroll down to read the reviews more than the actual product description). It requires 3 x AAA batteries - I am exceptionally disappointed as this is not what I wanted, and the product reviews and Q&A are more than misleading, they are factually incorrect.

Received lamp differs from that on shop page.Important part of the grip is missing. Because of that it's unusable as lamp for erasers it can't hold the plastic. However it can work for soft materials like fabric/leather covers.Brightness of LEDs are good enough. There is also charging port, but no information how to nor any charging cable added to the package.The quality of make is poor for the base/grip, but alright for the lamp/button (top part).

Taking AAA batteries. I prefer to rechargeable. The light is bright, but diffused; the switch feels well made, and I think it's better in the head rather than in the battery housing. The light head stays where you put it - many don't. Altogether very good value.NB I use it to illuminate my eyes for instilling eye drops, not reading. Clipped on a mirror frame, it's excellent for this purpose.

Stands on it's own, as well as clips on various thicknesses. Perfect for my elderly mother. She wanted a torch, nut this has turned out to be so much more useful than a torch.I bought myself one at the same time and I'm delighted. I use it as the underlight for my sewing machine (which doesn't work). I can position it standing alone, behind machine and bend the head to point directly at what I'm sewing, without any part of it getting in the way.

Ok so i know it was cheap but it never even worked. After getting batteries for it it flashed on once, went out, came back on an then died. Couldn't be coaxed back to light.Serves me right for going cheap..... only good thing was the refund was quick, thanks for that.

I love my little light - great for reading in bed because of the option of two brightness levels, rather than clipping it to the book I clip it to my duvet and point it at the book - both pages clearly illiminated. I have found it especially useful when reading in rooms where the lamps aren't very bright - it gives me a little extra light to read by without having to have the whole room brightly lit. The bendy head is flexible but not floppy, stays where you put it. Very nice bit of kit for the price.

Later edit - the clip is very loose and it broke after few months and the light is not as brightProbably £7 paid for lasting few months. Tho still use it but I have to block it to be held somewhere in between other objects...Good I shall buy another one

Bought two of these lights, one each for my kids so they could do some bed time reading. They're the best things ever! They have clipped them onto their head boards and they love going to bed early now so they can put their little lights on and read their books before bed!
