This is a caliber specific part for the Hornady tool that allows an exact measurement of the overall length of a loaded cartridge--a very useful measurement to avoid excess pressure by loading into the rifling and a means of determining the distance off of the rifling for best accuracy. I have all of the rifle calibers for which I reload and acquired this caliber for a custom 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser for which I am now reloading. A most useful tool for reloading.

I have many of these and decided I wanted to push the limits of my Swedish Mauser. Fits chamber perfectly and projectiles fit securely while giving you enough movement to find the lands.
