Blue Ribbon EE-1136 Skull Geode Stone Exotic Environments Aquarium Ornament, Purple, 6.5 inch (EE-1130)

First off, if you think you're going to find an amethyst geode for this price (the size of two palms) then there's a whole other set of things you need to be ordering from Amazon. That being said, if like most people you read the description, and realize this is meant for aquariums, and is made out of resin, you will be pleasantly surprised. This is well cast, lovely realistic coloring for the amethyst, and is so big that it's actually too big for my smallish tank. It's so pretty that I may keep it for my kids to use in their dinosaur play kit. I don't understand how anyone could order this thinking they are going to receive an actual amethyst geode, as it would be equivalent to a 10lb geode, and would cost hundreds of dollars. If however, you like crystals and geodes and amethyst, and you want something really cool and mystical for your fish tank, you're going to love this.

For the price, it’s great. I obviously knew this wasn’t a real geode. No geode that size comes for that price. I only gave four stars because you don’t know it’s meant for an aquarium until you read deep down in the description. I would deff buy again if I needed to, though.A little tip for people who want to use this as decoration. The purple “stone” isn’t shiny because it’s meant to be in an aquarium, but if you’re going to use it as a house decoration, get you some “Mr. Super Clear” in gloss. Spray the hell out of the purple part after protecting the “rock” part. After it dries, it’s super shiny.

It's not as realistic looking as I would have hoped but it gets the job done. Maybe someday I can put a real geode in my tank.

I thought it was a REAL STONE so it got returned. If I needed one for a tank or aquarium than it would've been perfect. Great for a tank .its plastic

This does not look anything like the picture, looks like what it is, a cheap piece of plastic. No shine or glitter to it, just flat painted plastic.

When I added this to my tank the water turned cloudy

Very disappointed in this. It doesn't even look real. It is hollow plastic with a rough surface and very fake colored glass inside it. For my little rock lovers birthday, this was a huge disappointment.

Very nice. A little lighter in colour than i was expecting...but still a great piece for your fish tank.
