Expensive, but it's the best so far

I seem to go through at least one tape gun every six months. In my experience, the plastic roll holder tends to be the first thing to go and once it can't securely hold a roll of tape, it's next to useless. For my money, this tape gun is still the best I've found. I could probably do without the rubberised grip as the rubber layer chips and peels off over time but everything else is top notch.

I ran an internet shop some years back so I used to destroy guns pretty quick! This is a good, solid gun that is reasonably cheap but well made and should last a long time. Particularly the blades in the cheaper guns are very thin metal and fall apart very quickly. This one is nice and solid and should last a while. Recommended.

Other reviews are correct in that the tape tends to get stuck either in the mechanism or around the main rubber roller. Nicely priced item but you will be swearing quite a lot when it’s being used. Glad I only use this tape gun on an occasional basis then.

great. Solid, Heavy duty.If you need one of these for your business then do make sure you get this one and not one of the cheaper ones. The cheaper ones are ok if only used now and again but if they are in use on a daily basis they fall apart. I have bought about 3 cheap ones over 3 months and finally decided to spend just a bit extra, i have to say it was worth it, this is easy to use, quicker to use, and most importantly its solid and hasnt disintegrated under heavyish use.Only thing to watch out for, when it was new, the wheel was just a bit too sticky for its own good and would have a habit of wrapping round the wheel insteaqd of sticking to the box. So when its new just make sure you stick the tape down before pulling across the box. It doesnt do this for long, just a couple of days and then you can just fire away as fast as you like

I guess it is inevitable with the use of metal in constructing it, the gun work very well on large boxes but it is a bit fiddly and uncomfortable if you need to use it on smaller objects.

I have purchased 4 units for backups of main tape guns... they are used daily and I have to admit they are worth every penny and I like to believe of good quality.As another user notes the tape does seem to be sucked back up towards the big wheel and this will generally happen once or twice a day. not really a big deal.Proberly each tape gun will tape a couple of hundred boxes a day... so for £12.99 its certainly worth the small investment.
