AKG Pro Audio K92 Over-Ear, Closed-Back, Studio Headphones, Matte Black and Gold

These are fabulous headphones for listening to my vinyl records. Lots of cable length, nicely constructed and very lightweight and comfortable, has enough bass for me and a nice look . I'm very happy with them .

I was honestly not expecting much, although the fact that this was AKG brand and the fact that I've heard some really good things about them in the past, I was not expecting how good these headphones are. I have used some decent quality IEM's as well as wireless headphones and earphones, but these blow all of these out of the water. At first I was slightly disappointed by how flat these sounded, then I realized that this is the point of these (I know rookie mistake lol). They are exceptionally light and comfortable on top of that. For the price you really can't go wrong with these. The cable is on the longer side (3m) but since these are meant to be used in a studio environment where you might have to move around a lot, I can't really complain. It comes with a screw-on gold plated 1/4" adapted (4,4mm) and unfortunately not much else except some paperwork and, mine at least, came with a almost comically large silica gel packet. But jokes aside, these are really solid for the price and I would highly recommend grabbing these.

I bought this headphone as I record my vocal at home so I needed a proper recording headphone. I was using beats solo 2 before and the problem was that I could hear the beat coming from headphone in my records. Firstly, this headphone is quite comfortable and cheap compared to other options. It also neutralize the sound so I can hear the beat clearly. The noise cancellation is good, I don't hear any external sound when I record my vocal. However, the problem is that I still hear the beat coming from headphone. This affects my record quality negatively. If it is called a closed-back recording headphone, they should firstly deal with this issue.

Been using these for months now and still highly satisfied with the sound quality. They are very light and comfortable to wear for long periods and the very generous cable length allows you to be well away from the sound source. Some have complained about all this cable getting in the way. I just coil the excess and hold together with a couple of wire ties. Simples! Use them with a very basic tablet streaming Tidal and Spotify as well as a high end hifi system playing vinyl and they deliver a very decent sound stage on both.

I am very satisfied. The sound is slightly boxy, but overall, it is also open an natural, and not tiring. The headphones are very light and comfortable.

Love these headphones - great output for the price and I use them for my bass playing at home with a Vox Amplug plugged in - really happy with the purchase !

For the price these are by far the best headphones I've used, they are comfortable enough to wear for a few hours. I bought them to use to play on my piano and I must say they give a really good rich, deep sound almost like I'm playing through an amp. Just go ahead and buy them!

Produto interessante, mas a ausência de graves foi bem notável nos primeiros dias de uso. Não é um destaque ruim, muito pelo contrário, o fone consegue reproduzir bem os médios e agudos. Acredito que isso se evidenciou, no meu caso, por estar migrando de auriculares da JBL, que possuem graves bem mais acentuados, aliados ao isolamento acústico ligeiramente maior que um supra-auricular como esse AKG. Utilizando o Equalizer APO em conjunto com o Peace Equalizer no Windows 10, consegui explorar um pouco mais dos graves (que estão presentes), mas talvez um pouco menos destacados em benefício de uma curva de equalização mais flat, dado o tipo de enfoque do produto, home studio, onde a clareza é mais importante. Esse perfil mais flat/agudos e médios mais claros, me trouxeram uma experiência melhor ouvindo gêneros que exploram mais esses tons, como o jazz. Testei com o Kind of Blue (1959) do Miles Davis, o We Like It Here (2014), do Snarky Puppy e o Ma Fleur (2007), do The Cinematic Orchestra. Enfim, pra quem curte um som com uma batida mais encorpada, talvez existam outras opções mais interessantes pra esse perfil. Pra médios/agudos, como jazz e acústicos, pareceu bem interessante. Sem reclamações em relação à venda, o produto chegou perfeitamente embalado, com nota fiscal e sete dias antes do prazo previsto. Satisfeito! :)

Really enjoying these, as others have said, they definitely have a clamp factor but I'm confident it'll lessen over time. Aside from that they are pretty comfortable; it could just be the clamping but at the moment it feels like the sides of my ears are touching the drivers slightly, but again that could clear up. They are way lighter than I expected so there is no real pressure on the top of your head. I actually wanted to find out how light these were so I weighed them and they weigh nothing. Literally 0 in every unit of measurement. Other minuses that have been mentioned are the very long cable, which most people will find to be entering the realm of absurdity. To the poor reviewer whose cable got tangled up in the wheels of their chair until they threw the headphones at a wall in rage; thank you, you've inspired me to coil the cable and tie it up so it's effectively 1.5 metres rather than 300. I'm not much of an audiophile, but I've been making s***ty electronic music in my bedroom for the past two years so I know a little bit about sounds and stuff. These sound really fantastic to my ear, although my only comparison points are consumer grade in ear headphones and a pair of Marley Liberate XL's so keep that in mind. The XL's are pretty good but they lean noticeably towards lower frequencies, having Marley's signature warm, bassy sound. These on the other hand are supposed to be neutral so I was worried that with my electronic tendencies there wouldn't be enough bass to satisfy me. Strangely that is not the case at all, the bass doesn't sound much quieter than my Marley's, it's punchier and a hundred times more detailed. As a little side note, the fact that the bass didn't disappoint me lends a little weight to the man who said these had very bloated bass. I don't have a pair of headphones that I know are fully neutral so I can't say for myself whether the bass is actually bloated, however I can say that the bass never feels overpowering and doesn't smother the mids or highs, all frequencies sound incredibly detailed to me, especially the highs. In fact, the highs are a tad harsh in certain songs with particularly harsh percussion, I've mainly experienced this with trap and haven't had any issues with jazz, rock or old school hip hop,– only electronic music. On the note of highs I haven't heard any noticeable sibilance excepting during "Heartbreak" by Yelawolf. They aren't particularly portable, but I sort of like the purity of the fact that don't really do anything except play music. No in line mic or controls, no bells or whistles just good music, which is a pretty beautiful approach and embodied by a very beautiful pair of headphones. These look absolutely stunning, despite the fact that the materials look (and probably are, given the price) cheap. I'll definitely be keeping AKG in mind for future purchases on account of their appearanc alone. I think that pretty much sums up this review. I like these a lot and have been primarily listening to music over the past couple of days to hear all of the details I missed before, everything sounds so much clearer and more alive than before. Would definitely recommend these cans :)
