I used this portable kettle to boil water to use in my nasal rinse device while I was at a conference. I filtered the tap water through a Britta first, then boiled it in the kettle five times. I let the water cool off overnight after the last boil, then warmed it up to about 110 before using it. The fact that this kettle shows the temperature of the water as it heats up makes it easier to control to get it to the temperature I wanted. It was much easier and more convenient to have the kettle with me rather than trying to find a nearby store to purchase distilled water to use. I packed the kettle in the middle of my check-in luggage to protect it from possible mishaps during baggage handling, and it was fine. Depending on the temperature of the water when I started boiling it, it took about 7-8 minutes for room temperature water, but of course it took a few minutes longer if the water had been chilled in the Britta in the refrigerator first. It’s a nice little portable kettle. I ordered the blue one, but it’s not a real bright blue, more like a silvery blue, if that matters to you. What mattered to me was the convenience of having boiled water in my room and the ability to control the temperature to the setting I wanted, which it did just fine.

Everything is really perfect: it is easy to use, pleasant to handle - good size even for smaller hands, not heavy. The display is clear and easy to understand, no learning curve. The blue is very subtle.The only reason I am returning it is because it just doesn't hold enough water.

OK, its been some weeks/month since I purchased this kettle. I like the design; sleek and holds the same amount of water as my Yeti tumbler. I love traveling with this kettle it doesn’t take much room but I wrap this in a layer of bubble wrap because I don’t trust baggage handlers. There is a slight learning curve to operating this but not much and repetition will soon implant the knowledge in your brain. The cord can be placed in the receptacle and packs away neatly but please make sure everything is dry, dry, dry. It may help in prolonging the life of your kettle.Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase.

3/24/23 Update: After using this kettle for a month, I would say that it's quite loud as you can hear the water being boiled and it has 3 loud beeps to tell you that it is done. Wish it was a little more quiet as to not disturb the co-workers in the surrounding subicles in the office. Wished the power cord was a bit longer as well as you would need an extension if you don't use it on a kitchen counter top.2/24/23: First impression: This electric kettle's size is perfect for use in the office. It was easy to use and setup with a helpful little brochure with instructions. It took about 3 minutes to warm up the water while you get ready for the day. It's sleek and simple design with a handle and vent on top. If you're looking for something simple and easy to boil water for your coffee or tea, this kettle is perfect for you.

I use it daily to boil water for tea, hot chocolate or coffee. And I lije the various settings. It boils the water as expected.However, it does not maintain the hot temperature for as long as I expected.Is there a way to close the vent to maintain the heat, or prevent it from spilling when tipped over even when the lid is closed)?

I bought this because my wife likes to drink warm or hot water which is sometimes hard to find when on travel. We took a trip the last 2 days and it came in very handy. We used it at the airport and in the hotel room. It is small, light, and fits into a backpack. It boils the water quickly, and also you can set the water temperature too!

I like the size, it performs well any time I need hot water.
