Bostitch Office Portable Electric Stapler, 20 Sheets, AC or Battery Powered, Black (MDS20-BLK)

Love this stapler for school papers. I have stapled a lot of papers at the same time and it does well. I didn't count but it was pretty close to 20 sheets. The color black is as pictured. It is pretty quiet. It is not heavy. It is easy to load. The tray for staples could be a bit longer. In regards to the depth adjustment, just make sure that you have the papers back far enough for it to staple.

I bought a stapler like this for my home office. LOVED IT. Bought another one for my desk at work. It never did work "quite right." I missed the window to return it. It's a shame... the first one was great. I'm not sure why the second one (which is exactly the same) keeps jamming and won't release papers once they are stapled. Disappointed in the product.

I am a bowling league secretary and on a weekly basis prepare 50+ two- and three-page documents for delivery to bowlers in the two leagues I track. I wanted an electric stapler but didn't want to spend big $$ for one. Bostitch is a reliable name so I thought I'd try this one. My first issue was with only a two page document of 24 lb copy paper, it won't trigger the stapler unless you hold the paper on the edge on the left and near the top on the right when you feed it into the machine. My second problem was that the staples weren't getting "mashed" down all the way. I was using swingline staples; the instructions said Bostitch were recommended so off I went to get a box of those. It didn't solve the problem of the two pages. However on a three page document that is NCR paper I had better results. Didn't need to hold the paper on both sides and the staples themselves worked better. However it fails to staple about every other set. I have to pop out the tray of staples and then re-seat it again for it to work. I guess I can use the Bostitch staples in my manual stapler but this unit is going to get returned.

I purchased this because I am a teacher and got tired of slamming on a stapler a million times. This stapler is light weight and takes regular staples which is great since I have a big stash. The only caveat is that it struggles to 'see' small two paper stacks. It has a hard time sensing small packets of paper like 2-3 sheets. This is sometimes frustrating as that is the bulk of what I do. However, it think for the value it is good. would be nice if it had a setting that let it know how many sheets it was stapling or something.

Sturdy electronic stapler. This is used in the office at an elementary school, so it is put through its paces and hasn't jammed or had issue once.

Easy to use and worked well while it lasted, which was about one month over a year's time. While stapling, the stapler jammed in the down position and couldn't be fixed, so I tossed it. Only used it around Christmas when I was putting things together for Operation Christmas child... stapled five sheets to a thin, cardboard shoebox. Sat in its box the rest of the year. I bought this one (same style) to see if it'll last longer. Hope so. FOLLOW-UP: Second one jammed after about ten minutes. The plunger that pushes the staples down jammed in the down position. Took a while to fix it, but then it happened again. Sending it back.
