Keeps a charge for a long time

I originally ordered this deal with our 600lb Mangalitsa boar who can decide to be a bit ornery from time to time. Sadly, he passed away unexpectedly so I expected this to sit for a while. Fast forward a few days and we were trying to move a smaller Jersey bull-calf from the front pasture into a trailer. He did the trademarked “Jersey Flop” and refused to get up off the ground. My wife tried a few times to get him up and he would not budge until I remembered this purple motivator was sitting in the house. One of the kids ran in and grabbed it, and with a single click of the button, up came the calf! He walked a few steps with the halter until he decided it was time to stop, at which point another round of motivation was required. It turned an otherwise struggle of a task of moving this bull into a rather seamless experience. Fast forward to unloading him at the new home, he decided to walk without prodding until it came to a crossing a powered off electric fence that was laying on the ground (for him to enter the pasture). He refused to cross! Even with a jolt from the prod, he still would not go forward. For the first time, we tried to use a couple of more rapid shocks to get him over the finish line, but it did not do the job. It sounded like the shocks were losing intensity when used a few times in a row without a real break between, so I removed one star for that. We ended up having to push from behind and pull from the front, with someone picking up a front hoof to get him in, but the job got done and that is the most important part.

Battery life is great! And a very strong shock!

I bought two, got them on a Tuesday charged it and put it in its box until I used it on Thursday and it broke the plastic is not thick enough where the screws are because both of them broke .
