I'd recommend this or the ToneX One to any guitarists.
This is hard to beat for the quality of the amp sounds and value for money. The ToneX has been getting some really nice software/firmware updates lately that have made them even better. The updates have added some really nice new creative effects, as well as a real-time editor so that you can easily tweak amp sounds and create your own sound. The latest software updates have made it a lot more intuitive and easy to use as well, which was a complaint that people had previously. The support for the ToneX pedals seems to be very active. The pedal is constructed from metal, and the quality of the knobs and switches feels really good. Feels sturdy, and like it will last.Good size. Roughly the size of 2 regular sized guitar pedals. This and the ToneX One both have a ton of functionality. It also functions as an audio interface (limited to 44.1Khz sample rate), so you can record both the direct and processed signal into a DAW like Cubase/Logic/Studio One/Reaper etc. and then apply the ToneX plugin to the DI signal with a different amp model and create double tracked guitars or dual amp tones very easily.Great piece of guitar hardware that I highly recommend to any guitarists, young or old, experienced or not.

Registration isssues
The best sound quality available on the market thanks to the neural network used, especially in the paid profiles available from third parties. The only problem I had was with product registration. Overall the value for money is unbeatable by other companies.

Great unit, with certain conditions attached.
This is a fantastic unit and the bundled software package is fantastic.Excellent value for money.*not impressed with the release of the anniversary edition, which has features etc that are only on that unit. That being i stand i still rate it as Excellent.Using the obvious comparisons with similar units, like the Line 6 HX Stomp: that unit is easier to navigate than the ToneX.That being said, I'm gonna run some tests over the course of 12 months and see where things are at.Super Positive Points:Fan-bloody-tastic amps. The choices available are very comprehensive with all the usual suspects and a few less loved ones. With this you "only" get six fx to play with, however, I feel fairly confident in saying that the peeps that'll be using this will have plenty of fx on hand!

Amazing tones
This has basically replaced my amp. No more lugging around a half stack, head, or combo to gigs. I just take this and either plug into the house (via my DI-Box/Splitter to protect my ToneX in case a sound guy plugs me into a powered channel), or disable the IRs and plug into a Power Amp Pedal and straight into a mic'd up cab. My rig is so lightweight now. Just my ToneX, HX Effects, DI-Box/Splitter, Power Amp Pedal and a couple of expression pedals.

Stunning!!
This is an amazing bit of kit. I had researched the Tonex, Kemper, Quad Cortex and others but I am glad that I went for the Tonex pedal. There are literally thousands of stunning sounding presets/models available through ToneNet and third party sites. I love it.

Nice back up
Lots of variety once you can get the app to work.Nice and compact. A version with a volume pedal would be better for my use though. I still struggle to get it sounding/feeling as good as playing through a valve amp on stage. Audience probably won’t care It I still feel better with an amp where that’s realistic.I don’t find the software particularly user friendly with far too many steps for basic functions.I still feel that my Kempers sound better for my use. I’ve had all the modelers and this is a fair one with good competition for the pricier alternatives.Sturdy and pedal board friendly too.

Mixed thoughts
It has taken me ages to want to review this as I couldn't really make my mind up about it. Sometimes it sounds great , sometimes terrible but since watching a couple of YouTube videos I think I understand it better now. The main learning point for me is that you have to treat each patch like you have just bought a new amp and not like a multi effects. All of your pedals feeding into it need to be leveled for it - they won't be the same for every amp model. If you take the time to do this , it will sound great. It would be good if you could set the input trim for each amp model rather than having a global setting but you can get away with this by tweaking the gain before you save the patch. When you get it right, this box of tricks is amazing but it's not always easy to get it right.
