Pleasantly surprising product and well needed for my curly hair
I tried this product on a risk expecting that I would be underwhelmed but I was pleasantly surprised.I recently decided to grow out my hair into a curly top fade after wearing a very low ceaser type fade for a few years so I forgot that a good product or two was an absolute must for my afro curly texture hair.I knew I needed products that wasnt overly shinny, greasy, didnt strip the moisture, and was water based. And it wasn't crazy expensive. This styling clay checks all the boxes for me. After a week of using this product in various ways -- applied on wet or dry hair -- I learned that this product layers well over a leave in conditioner or moisturizer for my curly top. Yet it works well on it's own for my faded sides and has a great low profile shine. The light taffy like texture melted quite effortlessly from the heat with little rubbing between the palms and leaves a light fresh scent. Its a good product for defining individual curl pieces for a more textured look as well. And its an easy rinses out. I'm not left with that greasy feel after a good rinse out while in the shower. And even more surprising is that I've been able to utilize the residual product after a hot rinse to provide a good base to set the curl right out of the shower. So far, It holds quite well on Day 2 with a little finger styling.Curly hair can be downright unruly and a high maintenance process. But thankfully this product is easy and a great addition to my styling regiment. Great packaging as well!

Longer hold than I ever experienced!
The media could not be loaded. This is the only product to offer a decent all day and all night hold without leaving my hair sticky or clumpy and easily rinses out with just water the next day! I have very thick hair and before this I was using Axe flexible paste and would be lucky if I could get a full day of hold without needing to reapply. With the Viking Revolution hair clay I am able to to apply it in the morning before work and have it hold all through the night wherever it takes me then just as easily the next day splash some water in my hair and it’s back to normal in no time. Another thing that is amazing about VR hair clay is The Price! For just about a $1or so more I got what looks like more than double the amount of the Axe brand so I’ve definitely found my new go to brand for men’s hair and face care products. FYI I also started using their shaving soap before this and could not be happier with the quality and variety of scents , the lather, and the skin feel after the shave, definitely recommend giving them a try too if you don’t already!

After a few fails this works well for me.
The first hair clay I tried was by Old Spice. It worked well but was too heavily scented for me so decided to try the Viking. The scent is much less intense which is a positive for me.It took about a week of use before I hit on the right amount of product for my hair, which is on the finer side. The Viking clay seems to have a stronger hold so the amount I was using was way too much.I appreciate the value of the 150 g size, but the packaging is a bit over the top- not "wasteful" but unnecessary. I'm not really sure what the purpose of foam pad inside the jar is... anyone?

Lasts forever
I bought this over a year ago and still have some left. It’s strong, so you don’t need much.People are complaining about it not washing out. I leave conditioner in my hair for a while and it washes out without a problem.

Cheap, but is it worth it?
This product technically works and is cheap. But it is incredibly sticky, almost like thick elmer's glue. It leaves a greasy appearance and is difficult to wash out. Plus, the smell is overwhelmingly sweet. Would not recommend.

I mistakenly boought this a second time, fogetting that I imediatly trashed the 1st one.
I intermittently look for alternatives to American crew fiber, and I had forgotten that I already tried this one. The reason I forgot, is because I threw it in the trash immediately over a year ago. I thew out this one too after one use. the stuff does not wash out. I washed FIVE times with tea tree shampoo, and my hair still feels horrible. Oddly they advertise it as water soluble, which i really don't think it is. But really all hair products should be water soluble shouldn't they? What else are we supposed to be washing our hair with? gasoline... or acetone? Anyway, this the only product I have ever tried that really worried me because it would not wash out. Also, the smell is horrible. It smells like one of my car products. I forget which one. maybe polishing compound or "plastic restorer".

Big Bang for the Buck
I have thinning hair and have tried countless products. This holds my hair very well and gives it surprising body. It has a light, pleasant, vanilla-like scent. The container is top quality; the amount of product in the container exceeded my expectations. The brand seems cool. This hair product "checks all the boxes" for me.If you read the list of ingredients this is actually a wax, not a clay, however, It works great though so I'm not going to criticise the labelling or ingredients.Tip for styling to get extra volume: Use a small amount of this product and arrange clean, dry hair in the opposite direction of how you want to wear it. Then, after a couple of seconds when it has set, push and arrange your hair back the other way like you normally wear it.
