Amazing Value for Money. Gets the Job Done
I'm well chuffed with this Bailey plunger! I tried everything to unblock my outside drains. Used different drain unblockers, caustic soda and a 15 meter pressure washer hose, but nothing worked. I was going to give up and hire a professional drainage company to clear the drains, it would have set me back €150 to €200! However, looking online, I saw people use this plunger and they said it was the best way to clear blocked drains. I already had the cleaning pipes for sweeping my chimney and the plunger only cost €4, so I decided to purchase the plunger as a last ditch attempt to clear my outside drains and to my surprise, it actually worked!! Now in saying this, it does take a bit of elbow grease and copious amounts of buckets of water to get rid of the blockages. But something as little as €4 to get the job done compared to hiring a professional drainage company for €200! I would have been snookered if I forked out €200 compared to €4!!I am well pleased with this plunger! ☺

Tough plunger for drain rods
This 6" plunger is thick rubber and ideal for getting a good pressure as you push along a drain. I'd definitely buy it again!Helpful Hints:1. Buy this and other drain rod attachments, plus thick long rubber gloves and throwaway overalls. You need the full kit for a drain clearing job.2. Buy this kit NOW. Don't wait until your drains have blocked because that is too late!3. If you've already got drain rods, try to establish whether the thread on your rods is the same as the thread of the attachment, otherwise you won't get a good fit. As you can see from my photo, the thread on my plunger is a bit small for the rod, but I've just about got away with it.Hope this helps :).

Did the job
We had cleared our drains several times however the rods weren't long enough, so we purchased additional rods, but still no joy. I saw this and thought it was good value. Luckily it fitted the rods and initially we cautiously used it, I was worried it may come off and add to the blockage. However it's actually more robust than it looks. So after a period of pumping the rods we finally cleared the offending blockage and thus far no more problems. Good value and did the job

Ordered wrong part. I required plunger 1781 and not 1751.
Ordered wrong part by mistake as I never paid close enough attention to the part code. The new plunger would not screw onto the 1781 Bailey rods that I have. All was not lost however, as the rubber parts of the new plunger unscrew and come apart. To save time, I have now drilled a hole within the brass fitting of the original 1781 plunger and bolted on the new rubber components.

For those bunged up moments!
It is what it is! However this product is a good quality standard product. The screw fitting is strong and capable, so unlikely to be lost in the pipework! Some DIY stores price this item at top end and I found that even with standard delivery charges this product can still be purchased cheaper online!Arrived on time, so all good!
