I am an absolute love with this that was a great addition to my ceiling I'm trying to recreate the Harry Potter ceiling a little bit not perfectly but definitely a little bit and you can see from the video that I upload that it has different phases or you can let it be on full moon or it can be at partial Moon whatever you prefer but it is just the coolest thing I am so happy that I bought it and it's such a reasonable price. My only wish is that it did the same phases of the moon that we're currently on like a way to put a date in the back and use it to have the same phase of the moon that's outside currently. But other than that I love it it's so fun. Normally it would hang on a wall but I use velcro strips to hang it to the ceiling so that way I can unbelcro it change the batteries if I need to and then velcro back up. So easy to use good quality

My son loves seeing the moon out in the sky, so he was pleasantly happy to have one in his very own room! I'm working on battling my own perfectionism but also appreciate transparency of what we're buying, so I'll share my nitpicks either way.In the picture posted, you can see the tabs holding the light together attend the edge, as well as the sections of the phases- The remote is very much line-of-site infrared towards the bottom of the moon, so name she you have a good angle with nothing blocking.- The power button does not save the last moon phase and goes back to a full moon, do you'll have to cycle through it there's a certain lighting you like to keep.- The remote is a bit clucky, so cover it with a pillow if you have a light sleeper.None of these nitpicks are deal breakers by any means, highly recommend this!

Possible distraction while trying to sleep.- Packaging of the box moon came in (not Amazon box) was hard to open. Have scissors nearby.- Requires 6 batteries - 4 AAs and 2 AAAs and a screwdriver to take off the paneling.

I used this in a moss art piece for my living room by room and it is perfect! I didn’t hang it like the instructions suggested since it was on canvas but it’s lightweight so it held up to the canvas fine. The color is tinged blue instead of being a warm light so if you’re purchasing it for the real effect of the moons glow then maybe another option would be better suited but I’ll rarely turn it on so it suits my needs. Great price for a realistic moon piece.

I love this light. The surface pattern is very realistic and I love how you can change the phases of the moon even though I keep it on full most of the time. I bought one over 12 years ago for my then newborns nursery. I hung this light on his wall along with hundreds of those glow in the dark stars dangling from his ceiling with short pieces of fishing line. It was so magical I have never taken it down. The other day I decided I needed a nightlight that I could reach easily when I needed to get up in the middle of the night. I have three dogs that lay in random spots around ny bedroom floor and I end up stepping on them everytime I go to the bathroom. I was going to steal the one from my sons room but I didn't have the heart to move it so i just ordered a new one. I am so glad i did. I had forgotten how bright it is. It will light up the entire room with a soft glow and it actually gives you the same feel of a real moon lit room. I think it is the color of the light. It has a blue-ish tint instead of the more yellow tinted light that you get from a standard light bulb. I keep the remote on my nightstand so it is easy to reach for to turn on. In addition to it being functional, it is just really pretty, even for an old lady's bedroom :-)

Bought this for myself. Thought it was actually a full moon version and not just a face plate. However, it's my fault for not reading the full product description. It's a nice product for kids. Also came with a poster highlighting (and illustrating) the moon's phases. Pretty cool if I was a kid. Lol. Either way, I still hung it up. The kid in me who dreams of walking the moon is smiling!!!

Do you have one of those kids who can't get over the phenomena of their lunar sky friend? Just go ahead and get them this moon thing. They will love it.The remote is simple...two buttons. One to pick what phase you want it to stay at, one to toggle on the auto feature where it cycles through the moon phases.It DOES have a sleep timer of about 30min, so the batteries don't wear out too fast. We used ours twice a day (nap and bedtime) and it lasted about 4 months before we realized it was getting dim and needed new batteries. Not bad.Also I dropped the remote and it makes a rattling sound now, but still works, so that's nice
