Best gloves ever

Bought for my wife's birthday, her old pair was past it best days. I only gave durability three stars because she has not had them long enough to judge, the life. So all is well and the thorns she used to get are no longer scratching her hands.

I’ve always bought these gloves in either ‘medium’, if I want to wear a thinner pair underneath in winter, or in ‘small’ for the summer. Suddenly the last few pairs I’ve bought in ‘medium’ are like ‘extra small’, (even smaller than ‘small’) and I can hardly get them on and off to a complete waste of money. Goodness knows what’s happened to quality control, unless Amazon are selling ‘seconds’ which don’t equate to the normal sizes shown on the tags.

Smaller than usual in the fingers

I love these gloves because of the latex type coating stops you getting cold and wet. They are lightweight so you don't loose dexterity like some of the very thick gloves around, it also makes them comfortable to use. I have poor dexterity so the rubbery grip also helps me to hold tools better and to open those extending garden tools that need you to twist them before they extend. They are superb gloves and wear well.The only downside; personally I feel the assertion made that they are remotely thorn prove, is over selling them. I have been prickled by most of the prickly plants in the garden while wearing these, from roses to thinner prickes, but it is the only downside. For the comfort and for keeping my hands dry in damp conditions and for the jersey/cotton fabric which is not sweaty like other waterproof type gloves they are brilliant. These are the first gardening gloves not to give me blisters in use so they get the thumbs up from me.

I’d been looking for this type of glove for a while but places like Wilko, where I’ve previously purchased them, seem to have discontinued to do so. Excellent quality and very comfortable to wear. I bought them because I wanted a Ladies Small size, and although the label says Medium, they are a perfect fit for my small hands. I doubt they would fit someone who wears medium sized washing up gloves. Very pleased with them so I’ve already ordered and received a second pair of equal quality.

These gloves are practical and hardwearing, excellent gardening gloves and great value for money. Recommend.
